I cannot log into the multiplayer. I was fine this morning, and judging by the number of gold run posts going around in the past hour, I don't see anyone else having my problem. What changed?

I've been having the same issue as kjir, the game hasn't even let me into multiplayer since I downloaded the patch yesterday.

So, the suggestion for the 360 is to turn on UPnP on my router, it's already on and my 360's in the DMZ, so why am I getting dropped from the servers in my half of my matches or better yet, waiting forever the match to start an then finding me and one other person.
I actually enjoy the co-op mode a lot, but if it doesn't work 3/4 of the time, what's the point?

I can log in but I get disconnected shortly after.

I noticed today that when you set up a network connection it will tell you if upnp isn't enabled. I briefly switched connections from my router which has upnp enabled to a tether from my phone, everything worked fine, no dcs, but when i connected the xbox at first it flat out told me that my level is moderate because my router doesnt support upnp

I lose connection each time it searches for a game. It stalls on "connecting" and then tells me it can't and shunts me back to reconnect to the EA servers because connection has now been lost.
Figured I might at elast give Multiplayer a try today, but... Got in essence the same problem as above - it searches for a game like forever until the connection is lost. Gah. Things like this are the reason I've never been fond of the multiplayer option in games
I'm getting the same issue. I could play this morning, and now I'm unable to host a game or join a game. Adding this to the relocking of everything that I'd gained has made me extremely unhappy with Bioware.

I have done everything that the original post in this thread asked me to do. UPNP is enabled, I have opened the required ports and allowed firewall access to ME3 and Origin, I still cannot connect to a friend's game. I can connect to a quick-play match, and when I move my PC to his house I can connect to his hosted games without incident.
This means that it has something to do with my internet setup that is blocking my ability to join his game. He is not a bad host, as others can join his games without issue, as can I when on his connection. What should I do? I have tried several router resets and reconnects, but I still cannot join a friend-hosted match. I only managed to get this to work once, that was two days after launch, and even then it dropped out frequently (something I do not have a problem with in random matches). Suggestions? Answers?

What If I use 3G/ HSDPA?
If I play by myself than it's fine but as soon as I play with anybody else the game stutter steps and then my player is moving wierdly around the map and then I am disconnected.

I'm having the same issues with trying to connect to my friend. First off, there were absolutely no problems when we were playing the ME3 demo. We both could connect to each other regardless of who was the host. No ports were manually unblocked, just UPnP was enabled.
We have no problem joining and playing in public games, nor do we have any problems hosting public games (as long as the other does not try to join).
Now that the full game is out, the only time we can play, is if a random player is the host. If either one of us is the host, we can not join the others game. It just sits at joining game forever is set to "Private". If set to "Public" it will says "Game is full", even though there is room (either 1,2,or 3 slots available.
I've opened ports:
3659 UDP
6000 UDP
56536 Both
7673 UDP
42100 TCP
80 TCP
15200-15300 TCP
9945-9994 TCP
...Still nothing.
Disabled anti-virus and firewalls, still nothing.
Disabled NAT, still nothing.
Enabled DMZ, still nothing.
Hooked up wired to the router, still nothing.
Bypassed the router and hooked directly to the modem, and it worked!
So after figuring it was the router causing the issue, I went and bought the exact same router my friend has and copied there settings down.
Back to nothing, could join each other again.
We both had all the ports and steps done as mentioned above, still nothing.
The only was it is possible for my friend and I to play together, is for one of us to bypass the router completely. Which is possible but not practical, (even though EA support thinks otherwise). Other than that, I have no clue on what to do.

For anyone who is unable to connect to or host co-op games, I had the same problem. The fix for me was to click on the cog icon in Origin, and select "reload my games." I also restarted Origin. I'm sure this won't help everyone, but it was an easy fix for me. For some reason I haven't seen this advice given on any tech support pages.

Reloading game did not work for me. Neither did fixing the ports or trying DMZ

I can play just fine until about 11 PM PST when I get the lost connection message and the mass effect servers are down. I don't know if there is maintence around this time or what not but it is really annoying when you lose all of your credits and XP that you have earned up until the point it loses connection. If it at least gave you all of the credits, XP, and GR you would've earned through the game then it wouldn't be as bad.

I haven't been able to play multiplayer at all. When I try to host a private game for my friends they get stalled at the "joining game" forever. Same happens to me when I try to join a private game hosted by a friend. If I try quick match I still get stalled in "searching a game", and if I try to host a public game nobody ever joins.
I played the multiplayer demo with my friends and it was fine, no problems whatsoever. My set up has not changed at all between switching from demo to the collector’s edition. I'm using Windows 7.
Origin and the game seem to communicate with my friends and EA servers just fine. I don't think it's a firewall or data port issue (because the demo worked). What should I do? I liked the multiplayer demo and would like to play it very much now when I have the full game.
Edit: Oh, and Ihave tried several times, during the past few days. So it is unlikely to be a temporary server issue.

Same problem as many others,
- I can join and create public games just fine.
- My friend can join and create public games just fine.
- When one of us invites the other, we get stuck at "joining game".
Kinda weird how we can play with total randoms, but not with friends...

Rayden stop complaining others can't even play with "randoms"
As someone else said earlier I have vast online gaming experience and also have a 32mb connection and have no issues with any other game.
This is on bioware/EA's side. All that money coming in and can't even afford good servers and I thought multiplayer co-op was going to be campaign style as well as what it is now. Add in the fact that you cannot type to anyone...
Also, I don't understand it, can play 3 games fine then all of a sudden everything afterwards for hours on end is "you lost connection to the game"

Haven't been able to connect to the MP games for the last five days. I've checked all the settings from the start of the post and it's all supposed to be matched. All the progress I had made is slowly slipping away. I hope the March 16th server update I read about was accurate and actually fixes this.
