I cannot join friends, and they cannot join me. I have enabled the UPNP, opened the ports and my firewall is letting ME3 through. I'm really getting fed up with this, and I'm really dissapointed. When I join, my screen just says 'Joining game', and after a while, 'communicating' in the upper left corner dissapears. After that, the game just freezes, and I have to use alt+F4 to get out. Does anyone have a fix for this?
I have the exact same issue but for PS3. My friend and I can't join each other's private games. I've done everything Bioware has suggested on my router and I have NAT2 on my PS3. Every
time he invites me, it says "communicating" and "joining game" and then
hangs. Communicating goes away and I have to restart the game because
there's no button I can press. It's just stuck. We both have the same
issues. When I invite him to a private game, his game hangs at 'joining
game' and when he invites me, my game hangs. We have no issues joining
public games and I've never disconnected from one. Literally every time
we try and get into one another's private game it hangs and we have to
restart our ME3.
I've never had any issues like this playing
other online games. It really sucks because while I got this game
because I loved ME2, the lasting appeal was to have a good multiplayer
game I can bomb out with 3 other friends coop. Any help is greatly
appreciated.
Also, a weird thing happens when I start ME3. It
logs me out of PSN and gives me a "ethernet cable is not attached"
message before logging me back in. This is perhaps unrelated but still
weird, as it happens even when I turned off the autoconnect to Origin
option.
I am experiencing the exact same thing except its with my ROOM MATE! We have played together before but recently we have spent around 4 hours trying to just connect the two of us WTF is the deal man? Any tips are welcome!

Count yourself lucky. For some of us this kind of thing has been happening since Day 1. I havent looked atht e 360 or PS3 forums much to see if this issue is happening over there, but its definately happening on the PC version. Which system are playing the game on? (I'm looking for more proof that this is a EA server issue and has absolutely nothing to do with client hardware/software, in order to fully justify my refusal to buy any EA game ever again)
Also, has anyone found any posts from any bioware/EA employee that could be related to this topic even slightly (aside from the OP of this thread)? I have not been able to and have been looking for a while.

it is ea servers fault or maybe origin
when i started to play mp everything was fine, no dcd, no loosing money because of "connection lost " when trying to buy packs
but now its worse and worse every day , every time, i got dcd or tha "shop error" i have to restart both game and origin and then its ok for a while
my connection is good and still the same
tried to play with my router and other connection settings yday, but nothing worked
on PC

I tried to disable uPnP ,look at my firewalls...i've spent two hours trying to find my router IP for whatever reason i can't find it ...
The thing is we all know it's not a problem coming from us , but from EA servers.
Can they at least aknowledge that the problem is on their side and try to do something about it?

I've managed to get an Infiltrator to level 17 but it's been a struggle because more than half of the games I've played have ended with a disconnection in the final phases of the mission, usually Wave 10 or 11. Several times I have been disconnected waiting for extraction after a successful mission. This is insane because you get no xps or credits for all that work.
It is clearly a bug at EA's end. Why else would so many people report getting disconnected during Waves 10 and 11 rather than earlier phases? If the problem was at our end then you would see disconnects at random times, but it always seems to happens towards the end of a game. Something is badly messed up.
I've tried all the router and firewall settings suggested here, opened all the needed ports (I shouldn't HAVE to but nevertheless I have) but still problems. I have played dozens of online games and MMOs over the years without ANY problems at all. I can connect to SWTOR and other MMOS for many hours at a time without any issues. ME3 is the only game I have ever had connection issues with. It's an EA problem and nothing will convince me otherwise. Please fix.

Seems like there's something on Wave 10 that just makes the connection go NOPE. :/

About 10 minutes ago I was playing MP with some friends when it disconnected me during a wave (I am used to it dropping me for no reason), however after that I could no longer connect to the Mass Effect 3 server at all (which btw makes it so I can't even play single player cause it can't authenticate my DLC).
I restarted the game and then tried restarting Origin, but I still get the error "The Mass Effect 3 server is currently unavailable. Please try again later.". The thing is... my friends are still playing, so I know the server is still up. This is the second time in as many days that I have had this happen. Before this week I have never had this particular issue.

like most people i had been booted occasionally (seemed to happen more on event weekends) but the last week or so it is AT LEAST one out of every three games, probably more, also happens a lot when shopping. I have been in a heated argument withe EA Support, but they refuse to admit that it is a server problem "i have checked and our servers work perfectly, what you need to do is blah blah blah) it always seems to be the users fault, the fact that it is obviously happenning to a huge amount of people doesn't seem to mean anything to them.
the only work around i have found is to somehow get some friends and one of you join invite the others that way if you get booted you can rejoin the same game(unless it is the host who ghets kicked) it's not perfect, but it will save you a few of those lost points and credits.
cheers
