This crap has gone on for far too long.
Quoted for Truth.
Seriously, on PC I play one game and will DC before the end. Then I can play for hours after but may DC once or again during at least one more match.
Hardest part is to actually get into a game. I find it hard to get into a lobby, harder to stay in long enough to start the match and if the host quits I need to exit or often get stuck.
This is pretty unacceptable. If the MP wasn't so damn good when working I would of let this title collect dust, but its really getting to me and I don't play games for stress, its to de-stress!
Edit: I have a house mate who plays on xBox and can be at the same time and he dosen't suffer the same problems so its not my internet or router problem.

The store does not work either.
Last game I played we had massive clipping problems with players (myself included) looping in a falling animation above the map.... <sigh>
Unfortunately I do not have a lot of time to play, so this makes it very frustrating.

Above 200 ping is unacceptable, especially if you want to be more competitive.

I appear to be getting put into games with horrible ping. Feels like 300-400 ping judging by the feel of the lag.

This.
And also funny: Bronze ok, Silver ok and Gold... keeps disconnecting on wave 10...
Do we need 1 Mbit bandwith per mob or what?

I got as far as this on page 1 before looking up what UPNP is and the risks then deciding that its not worth the risk to turn it on even if I knew how to change the settings on the router.AlexMBrennan wrote...
You do realise that there are security issues associated with UPnP and that there might be reason it's disabled, right?
I find it rather annoying that there hasn’t been a reply from anyone at BioWare in 2 months about this in here or that they like to refer us to EA’s tech help because after all Mass Effect 3 isn’t a BioWare made game right?
Very true. This crap should have been fixed when the problem first appeared. If the game had been fully tested in the first place, this and so many other bugs and technical problems would have likely gotten to the final version of the game.Kolreth1 wrote...

UPnP is still disabled (I never turned it back on from this weekend.)

There seems to be an issue between wave 10 and 11 where a large data packet is sent to the servers and this seems to bounce from either my Router, ISP, XboxLIVE or EA's own servers. As this packet is resent twice without answer, this causes a disconnect.
Sooo...Bioware, you dropped the ball on this one it seems.
These packets become larger as the game difficulty is raised, perhaps it tries to send the data of the entire past game (kills, used items, etc.) to the server and gets no response?
Edit: Yes..I'm annoyed and want my exp/credits dangit...

For me it happens no matter difficulty, and I have 100Mbit, so the speed of the connection has probably little to do with it.
How in the hell do you have a 100 meg connection? Do you play from a corporate
connection?
I have never been disconnected from a game....
I just get crazy lag as the enemy list grows. About wave 5 every starts
to crawl. With the Geth HUNTER MODE on... FORGET IT, you can't play. I
Complain yes, but I DO really enjoy the game, my wife and I already had to
fights due to me spending too much cash on specter packs...
hug afterword’s. I am limited to 20$ a week. STILL - This needs to
be fixed, and UPDATES MAN, come on BIOWARE, EA, ....UPDATES are needed -
"We have observed multiple complaints regarding the new DLC/Patch. Please
be advised that we are looking into these concerns and will update our loyal,
beloved, ROCKeN’ customers on a daily basis - we greatly appreciate your business,
hang in there - this should be fixed soon".

The last one there, everything was perfectly fine, we were on wave 11, the shuttle came to extract the team.
Countdown 3.. 2.. 1.. all fine. Then it hit 0. "Connecting.." message appeared, and then disconnected me. Again.
And none of the XP/Credits accumulated during the fight were retained. All lost. 5 in a row.

Considering my apartment complex is connected via fiberoptics from my isp and that I wrote bit and not byte.. Id say its very much possible without being on a corporate network.

Corporate networks usually run on OC48 or DS3
lines that run anyone from to 10,000 - $60,000 a month. Your apartment has a
dedicated Fiber line, that would be impressive but if it's shared, you will at
most be able to pull about 7-15 megs due to throttling.
Anyways... yes, the issue still exists and I have not heard any updates from the might makers [smilie]http://social.bioware.com/images/forum/emoticons/whistling.png[/smilie]

I can get 100MB on my ISPs cable network, which is some form of docsis coax cable. And australia will have fibre to the home rolled out to 97% of the population in the next few years.

Well, I signed up for 100Mbit, meaning I can get up to aprox a potential 12.5Mb/s, of course I dont expect to get that high most of the time, but I have gotten up to 10 when really really lucky. Of course, it doesnt just depend on the speed of my connection but on stuff anywhere between here and... whatever Im connected to.
Still, it means that the speed of peoples connections have very little to do with whether they get disconnected or not. Lag however is a different issue but thats mostly due to the connection between the host and the other players. Its the connection to the EA servers that is the issue here. Someone posted that they had run a diagnostic with a laptop connected between their xbox360 and router and that a large packet of data is sent between wave 10 and 11 that bounced twice, then caused a disconnect.
So.. what can we do, but wait for EA to hopefully fix the issues with their servers.
