Yes, that could be the case from my experience - I was connected and in a private lobby (created by me) when the problem first started. No friends of mine were connected at the time. I first noticed something was wrong when they could not connect to my lobby.
I then restarted the game and my drops started. I think you could be onto something here.

The same crap happened with BF3...Ea is screwing us with this origin crap....I still can't play it and neither most of my friends, hell I have 2 friends online one is playing SP and one is just online,  the rest are offline and these guys play mp at least 1 hour a day. The issue isn't with just a few of us , the issue is with most of us. Last night people were joining and then leaving, at some point before buying the Victory pack I was joining only matches in progress. Before that on some map I was dead but I could see the map from above and still could shoot from above, it was laging like crazy and no it isn't my internet......This is an old issue but this time it just crashed, they had more than 1 month to fix something and they didn't, And yes I have the ports opened.

Saw it and not really impressed since the link goes to another thread that was made less than a day ago.

All it alludes to is that they are looking into the recent problem and not the problem of the EA server disconnect issues we have had since this game has came out.

I think they are fixing it now - the quick match started to work for me. It successfully finds a game. I still drop almost immediately, but I guess it's a start.

this is just ridiculous... i understand some players may be just children complaining (which doesnt justify the lack of responsability from bioware/ea) but the point is, they just sold us a f..ckin beta version! really, i had no problems playing single player, finished the game twice (1 or 2 freezes, nothing else), but everytime i try to go online i get kicked/game freezes on loading screens/or at the store (wait while we search blah, blah... or processing a purchase)/and if im lucky and manage to start a game, its likelly that i wont earn no experience or credits after a match, or they will reset when i log out and get bk... then they say, forward this or those ports, check ur connections, ur router... blah blah... bs, why its always our fault? they should at least say 'sorry our servers s..k'

i really love 3rd person games, am one of the top scorers in RDR (oh god, another beta version lol) and was planing to do the same in ME3 (damn, cant even promote a character!) but, after a long day of work, coming back home and waiting 3 hours to play a single match and then realise it wont give my credits/xp or will just disconect me in the middle of the session, well, i guess its too much...

lets hope they fix those issues soon (im sure they wont tho)

No it isn't. You can play the game for 5 min. then it disconnects. You can play it again after restarting the game but for 5 min.

This is pointless, even Alien Swarm from Valve was playable on the internet without issues and that game was free. These guys charge us money and they bend us over and , you know the rest....

Yes, I know, it didn't give me even those 5 minutes. What I tried to say is that at least one thing seems to be better now - the matchmaker wouldn't work for me since the problems started yesterday.

I've successfully been able to play and solo bronze twice, each time after a reset of the game. I was also able to join a lobby for gold, after a reset, but dropped by network by the first wave.

Yes, I played yesterday afternoon.
Yes, I received and opened the victory pack.
Yes, I bought a PSP.

Being invited into a game does not even take me to a lobby, though some acquaintances have been able to play as always and not encountered said issues.

MP is working for PC, just ran a test with randoms on Bronze, full extraction on White with reapers...nobody had lag..credits still on my acct after exiting MP and coming back to check. EST here. PSP paks in store as others have said. No Commendation pak yet

24 hours later, still have the same disconnect issues!! and these have been going on far longer than the victory pack though since I redeemed it I have not been able to complete a game at all.

I am still having disconnection issues. Played 2 games just fine then it decided to screw up.

Things are better in that did not get diconnected, but after selecting a quick bronze challenge, e.g. being rubbish at MP, got thrown directly into a silver challenge on wave 7. Coming in halfway through a game before has never happened. Weird.

Its been happening to me for the past week or so. Sucks popping into a Silver match in the middle of it (heck today I was tossed into Wave 10) with just a pistol.

I think what is happening is that matches without the full 4 players are open for players searching for games, and that when there are so few people able to actually stay in a game without disconnect or other failure, that all that is left are mostly the existing games where part got kicked out and someone didn't get kicked out. This has happened to me a lot lately during the accomodation pack award bugs, but then I get bumped out too before even a short time. Fortunately this particular bug seems to be fixed, but I suspect any time only a few players can log in and stay in a game, trying to join a game will result in joining a lot of "in progress" games.

Up until a week ago I had no issues with multiplayer and I don't know what has changed. I can play other games online with no issues, I have my UPnP enabled, I can take my 360 to my friends house and play it there just fine with a slower internet, but when I come home to play it all I receive is lag before being notified I have lost connection to the EA servers. So where do I go from here?
