First origin: An unknown error has occurred. Please restart Origin and try again. (took me like 10 retries)
Then this: The Mass Effect 3 server is unavailabe. Please try again later...

How about some free specter packs for the issus from this week?

I tried this morning, im on pc, the same as everyone else, I couldn't even look at my manifest, the game was screwey since last night, I played a round with a great group of peeps, got the the extraction shuttle taking off and it froze connection lost, so we all lost everything no doubt, typical as we all worked as a team, no-one died either.

Jep. Servers down. And since it can't authorize my DLC, I can't resume my game. Well done, EA.

This.

And more than one - how many equivalent Spectre Packs have we all lost from disconnects? A few freebies would be a nice gesture at the very least.

Mass Effect server is down again. Use the telephone to call! They don't seem to see forums.

Same here. I also can't figure out the logic: I can understand DLC authorization the first time you install new DLC, and also checking for new DLC every start, but authorizing the exact same DLC every single time you try to play just creates problems for no reason. If it's authorized once, why does it need authorizing again. And again, and again...

P.S. Sorry for double post!

I personally shall be giving ME3 a miss for the forseeable fututre. It seems that there are countless posts concerning the connection issues but I have yet to find anything from EA/BSN concerning the issues either acknowleding the existence/stating what will be done about it. Millions of people are playing this game and funding EA to sit on their asses and do nothing, so fcuk ME3 I think MW3 will be getting dusted off in the near future, atleast when they are working on their servers they have the decency to inform their fans.

-End rant

I server indicator would be nice. Up, down, in maintenance mode, that sort of thing. And if this was planned down time warning ahead of time is appreciated.

Also authenticating DLC only once or maybe even once a month would be good as now I cannot even play campain mode as my DLC does not work.

Dammit!!!  Bioware, what the hell?  I was looking forward to some morning MP time before my day got busy, but yet AGAIN the server is down?

I am getting to the point where I will stop playing soon - this is so frustrating!!!

Yeah, I know what you mean. It's undoubtedly very hacker/piracy-proof and all that, but unfortunately it seems pretty much legitimate player proof as well...

well I got in touch with EA about this and well what can I say but the following

Thank you for contacting Electronic Arts again. I assure you my support in getting this issue resolved.

I apologize for the inconvenience caused to you. The issue you are facing looks like a connectivity issue, Here are some general troubleshooting tips that can help you troubleshoot this issue.

First, be sure to disable any firewalls you have running.
• Software firewalls can simply be turned off, usually by right clicking on the icons near your clock and selecting “Close” or “Exit”.
• Hardware firewalls should be bypassed by going from the computer directly to your modem, skipping any router you may have.
• Try cycling the Power on your modem. For this, switch off your modem and leave it un-powered for about 5 minutes then re-start the modem, this should power cycle your modem. If you have Windows XP, there is a built in Firewall that we will want to disable. Please follow these steps to do so:

• Double click “My Network Places” on your Desktop or in your Start Menu
• Click “View Network Connections”
• Right click on “Local Area Connection” and Select “Properties”
• Click the “Advanced” tab
• Make sure to uncheck the box under “Internet Connection Firewall”

If you are able to connect after disabling any firewalls you have running, then this is definitely the cause of your trouble. If you wish to play the game with your firewall running, please add the game to exception list of your firewall.

If you have any further questions or concerns please reply to this email or visit our extensive knowledge base online at http://help.ea.com.

Sincerely,
Sudhir
Electronic Arts – World Wide Customer Experience

So I replied 99.9% of us are having issues, so does that mean 99% of us have crap computers, etc etc

Connecting regularly seems to be an impossibilty nowadays

Not possible at weekends as far as I can see. Either that or after a long wait getting thown into matches halfway through, or disconnected if entered correctly. Even once got thrown into a match on wave 11, e.g. get to extraction zone. Only assume I benefited from someone else being disconnected. Stats said it had taken around 18 mins but I must have been in there for about 45 seconds.

Bioware doesn't cover that but EA's people working at the physical location where the servers at.  prolly IT guys. Bioware doesn't know jack about networking and such.

Yeah, such great advice there. "Expose your computer online."

Do you wish to quit this game? You will lose all experience and credits if you do. Yes or no?

Otherwise if you get kicked off after wave 3, 6, or 10 it should save after you get kicked off the servers and you gained whatever you earned along with not being cheated out of all the rockets and medigels you used, and equipment you brought to the run.

Are we all viewed as lazy cheaters who want to abuse the system? Delightful.

"75 Perfect Scores" "Most anticipated game of the year" "All Time greatest Trillogy" thats all fine and dandy. But... if i can not complete a match with out losing conection to EA servers ( upwards of 50 matches DC'd now) losing credits, equipment, XP what is the point? I waited for this game, played the demo, grinded my N7 rating, for what? To get soo frustrated at not being able to play the game. I BEG YOU! PLEASE FIX THESE ISSUES. I enjoy this game. As do all the people who post here. Your LOYAL fans. We deserve better.
