we got out of sync suddenly.. all my powers and theirs could move freely and hit invisible enemies(example, engineer's combat droid does move).. but I could not see them (all enemies and allies were frozen.. noone moving)
yet they still could hit me on time correctly.. and using powers awarded me of kills points.
until I died, the thing synced correctly.

King_0_Hell - I know it's not an issue with my net, I sat through your help and support yesterday, and then was told "it's a problem with my internet connection, just deal with it". Hardly good customer service from EA.
EA Customer Support - Well, it likey is an issue with your net connection
King_0_Hell - I know for a fact it's not my net connection, I can play any other online game just fine, it's just the demo's multiplayer that's giving me, and many others on every platform, issues. Seems to me it's an issue with your servers.
EA Customer Support - It's got nothing to do with our servers, there all working fine, maybe you should invest in getting a better connection or just not bother playing the online part in either the demo or the full game.

Ending that there as needless to say, i got mega p***ed off. To be told I should just not bother playing the online part - which is the bit I'm really looking forward to in the full version, and have (when i can play) been enjoying in the demo - is just madness.
Bioware, if you see this, knock some sense into EA and get them to either look at their servers and improve them, or invest in better ones

okay, just had another delightful convo with EA's customer support... not. I'm going to copy and paste a small part of it, to give you guys some idea of what their like about this isues that everyone on every platform seems to be having:

We don't have connection issues because we can connect to Origin and play Mass effect 3 Multiplayer, so setting up firewall and opening ports is not the issue here!
If a game has MultiPlayer, thenn it should work to, we pay for the whole game, not just SinglePlayer.
Or at least give a Roconnect option (not as good as fixing Origin, but better than loosing all the XP and earned Money)! Or maybe we can get a Steam version??
(sorry for bead English)

Hey Gnarlesee , you wouldn't mind listing what ports you have open would you? As in what ones might need to be added to OP.
thanks.
Well i dont think i need to post them, because it still does not work. So either they give us wrong ports or it is their fault some other way.
I just PFP checker to check if my ports listen correctly and they do, and firewall have been made exceptions to.
I dont know how to do at this point.
I can host any game besides this one.

Wow, when I worked there, none of the guys would have gotten away with treating a customer like that. Even if their statements were true about the state of your hardware.

I also downloaded the PS3 version tonight and have played it for a few hours. It was nowhere near as smooth as the 360 version. I had enemies and squad mates jumping all over the place and became disconnected 4 times. Very annoying. I suppose it could just be the crappy PSN though, it really does suck compared to live in my experience.

As for actually connecting, the Xbox didn't have any trouble, it loads the game up no problem the only problems I've seen are the occasional connection drops while searching for groups. The PS3 took a lot of work though, I had to place it in the DMZ, turn off the Wireless to my TV that it was connected to, and turn off the media streaming option on the PS3 before it was playable, and even then I still have quite a few issues. Also yes I attempted the port forwarding options listed here, they didn't help, hence the DMZ.
I'm not sure how two systems running off the same network in very similar setups could have so vastly different an experience.

They have to get this straight until launch.
So stop messing with UPNP and your ports, it wont do you any good (unless you also have problems with other games).

Scumbag ME3; Portforwarding on 3659, still uses UPNP. Still noone joins. It doesn't use UPNP on any other port here.
Though forwarding the steam ports seem to work.

I had the same problem, forward the steam client ports.
UDP on 3478; 4379-4380; 27000-27030; TCP on 27014-27050.
Works for me now. My brother went lucky and had the IP where these ports were forwarded too. That is how we noticed.
