I mean really? 3 ME games and still we must deal with disgusting low resolution textures?

That's what happens when you build for consoles and PCs simultaneously instead of starting with the PC first and downgrading to consoles.

Disgusting pig-like pug-like low-brow low-poly badstuffs. Can't play these frightfully low-blow alias-sympathizer electronic games without sighing heavily.

Protip: Don't play BioWare games for their graphics engines. Alternatively, learn to stop worrying and love the storyline.

And here i thought most players played for story and gameplay. I have not found the lower res textures to be detrimental to either.

And, the graphics look better then the 360. Which is really all I care about. It's not a PC exclusive game. And as Jeff says, I play for the story. If it looks decent, that's fine for me.

its really quite bad, the lighting in particular was really bad for me. Demo crashed but when i have time to go back and play again I'll see if I can play with the settings. Hope the full game is better than this though.

Awful FOV and Shepard's movement controls like **** with a keyboard. Thanks for being lazy and not supporting gamepads, Bioware.

There should be higher quality textures in the release version, many demos do this to keep the demo package small (only 2.1GB). But yes this is a benefit of the doubt concern I'm willing to have some faith in Bioware, since the demo textures are a clear downgrade from ME2 or even ME1 in many instances*.

*Anderson being the exception as he gets the full Seal/Laurence Fishburne skin texture treatment

**Oops just remembered that whole SWTOR texture debacle, so maybe less optimistic now....

I've been a PC gamer for 20 years. My current PC cost me $1300. I have a 360 and a PS3. I played the demo 5 or 6 times on the 360.

This game looks FINE on the PC. I understand that some people's expectations are that every game should look like a PC exclusive with high-res textures, but that's never going to happen.

It looks sharp, it plays smooth. And both the controls and the graphics are much nicer over on the PC. But nothing I say will convince the kind of people who are obsessed with texture quality, so what can you do? Enjoy the game.

I don't know I should be saying this as a PC gamer, but I enjoyed ME2 even if it wasn't having high res textures. Heck, I didn't even pay attention to Garrus' neck in ME1. Just played the game! High reas textures are great, but still not a game deciding factor for me in Mass Effect series. Cmmon people, it is not Crysis or BF3.

I couldn't have said it better myself.

You get used to it. Eventually your eyes just tune it out if you learn to not worry about it as much.

It's a shame. I'll deal with it though.

low res textures are mostly bad when they stand out. As long as you can create something consistent you can get used to pretty much anything (Minecraft). However, every Mass Effect game so far had high res textures right next to very low res textures which, might I add, is exactly what Bethesda fixed for Skyrim recently.

I thought the game looked pretty darn good.

At first something looked wrong, so I went to the options and changed my resolution to what it was supposed to be. Looked even better after that.

It was on 1024x768 lol.

Honestly it looks way better on PC than 360. That's just my $0.02

I should have taken screenies to prove it, but man the game looks great to me.

Sometimes I swear either people are blind, or they do not know how to set up their graphic settings.

Anyone who thinks the graphics aren't great should go play the 360 demo a half dozen times like I did. It's like coming into a warm house out of the freezing cold.

Agreed, while high resolution textures are certainly nice they are in no way required for a great gaming experience.

Not even a little.

I really can't understand this comment. I am on xbox, M3 looks great.

Fortunately, I will never know how sad it is, to be a console gamer. :P
