Just played the demo, just cancelled 2 Collector's Editions after playing the demo. And yes, because of the awful textures.
Read Chizow's post before you come to a conclusion. It's almost a certainty that the demo textures are not representative of the final version.
I read it before post. But, I remember myself shocked playing the DA2 demo... They told us, "there will be a first-day high resolution patch". I said "oh, ok, that's good". Nevertheless, the game's graphics still sucks.
I am currently a Swtor active subscriber, because of the name...Bioware... I had the luck to be a beta tester! Believe me the graphic difference between the beta-videos-ads to retail version of the game was huge.
In the end, what I want to say is, WHY all of these excellent games of Bioware (except DA2), have graphics issues??

I understand what you mean. Anderson's uniform was so fuzzy ( on the Xbox 360 at least) However, let's not jump to conclusions yet.

Mass Effect textures had been bad since first ME. I wasn't really expect them to be better now (well, it would be nice, but bad textures are not a deal-breaker), but couldn't stand the "best UE3 looking game" line, because it's plain false.
What really annoys me about this subject is BW not giving users an easy way to at least change them without using textmod and this kind of crap. I'm not asking for a full modding tool, just a texture conversion tool...

It almost looks like the head was pasted on there from another picture, that's how bad the texture is on his clothes. Big blob basically.

I hope we get some texture mods soon at least for the characters (a full re-texture of the game it's sadly unlikely to be doable).

What's your point? Graphic wise Skyrim looks bad and so are the textures but at least Bethesda gave us a highres texture patch with an SDK so let us properly change anything and everything.

Liara's model in the squad level up screen looked worse than what was presented in LotSB. Either BW were drunk when modelling the characters, or they were simply using 'medium' level textures to comply with the 2GB limit.
My money is on second option.

Anyway it's clear that faces have priority. Case in point: Look as Shepards face and compare it to his blob of clothes. Again, right click for lots of awesome.

Wow, what a shallow bunch. How ddoes this game look bad? Compared to WHAT? Yeah, PC centric games like Witcher II or Crysis look better, but so what? Does every game you guys buy have to be top of the line in every way? The art, atmosphere and design of all ME beat out 95% of compareable games out there, so what if it doesn't have the highest resolution textures on every damn object?
Armors/Clothes/Models aren't every damn object.

ME1 was developed for the xbox and was great on the PC, ME2 wasn't too bad either. This is a step backwards graphics wise and I can't understand why, normally graphics are improved on a new game not reversed in quality. Just seems very strange to me.
