Hello!

I just wanted to say that the ME3 texture is still as bad as ME2 on PC. PC have more power to drive the better quality texture. It is very disappointing to me (only). And Xbox 360 controller support, at least bioware should offer it as an option. It just disappointing. :crying:

What did you expect?

...There will hopefully be a mod that resolves these issues.

well the PC community already posted numerous post about HD texture pack. Bioware still does not listen to the community. Maybe the retail has it or offer a HD patch as DLC. But Man, they should at least give us some information about PC feature.

It's really bad treatment for a great game like this.

I dont think they are all that bad, only armor/clothes are low res. But that was expected since ME always had same textures on PC and consoles.

Omg, BioWare makes better textures patch or something ! We have 2012 and PC have great power but you still make low bad textures ;/ 5-6 years games making only for PC have such better textures than me 3/2/1.......

why you ignore this ? and don't write about engine(there are games on UE3 and have great textures)

if i dont know that game realesed in 2012 i thought that it's game from 2006-2008 :X

Also possible, though I suppose unlikely that they didn't put in high res textures to keep the demo file smaller.

I'm more concerned with gameplay tbh. When I'm shooting and rolling to cover the last thing I'm looking at is just how detailed the walls and floors are.

Try turning the anisotrophic filtering up to at least 4x (from the default 2x) using the configuration utility. If you are running Windows 7 or Windows Vista, go to the Game Explorer and right click on the ME3 demo and choose "Configuration". Make sure you save your settings after you change anything!

Not technically a texture per se, but has anyone noticed the mini-husks running about ground-level on the first portion of the demo? They look like 2D graphics you'd find in an arcade game circa 1993. Hilariously awful. They run sideways.

I thought they were fleeing Humans. Ha! :pinched: Anyway, they looked fine on the 360. But on the PC we're able to put everything under much greater scrutiny, as we're sitting much closer and things are at a higher resolution. I agree with the texture "issue", whilst it doens't stop me from enjoying the game to an incredible degree, I wouldn't say no to a HD texture pack along a similiar vien as what was done with DA2.

Heck, maybe they were humans -- it was hard to tell. I just know they looked like old-school "sprites" from the original Doom, and other games of that era.

That's what I am talking about.

In 2012, Even Skyrim offer HD texture patch.

Of course, it is a possibility to have low res texture in order to keep the demo in smaller size.

To be honest, I think the landscape texture have good enough texture because they are far away and in motion. But characters and Shepard will always in your face. Why the **** not have better texture.

It is the same case with FPS. Why Skyrim and other game have bad hands or weapons texture? They are in your face, man. That the reason I admire RAGE and Gears of War. The character texture is good enough for close up.

To be honest, I think Bioware Mass Effect team on PC is being a little lazy judging by the Demo.

However, it is a demo we are playing. Retail could be better. But how many time demo did not match the retail in Graphic department? Demo graphic is almost the same as the retail.

One thing I really not enjoy is the controller support and UI scaling. Recently, there is a lot of bad UI scaling from EA games. They scale the font and UI way too small for PC players. I understand that PC players are usually play the game close to the monitor than a Large TV. But still, we need to read it comfortably.

I understand that Bioware want PC players play the game by using K/M. But does it really hurt to add xbox 360 controller support. We will still love the game no matter what way to play.

"Offering customers options" is more important than "developer think what is best for you".

I truly hope Bioware will take some advices from PC users based on their impression of the demo.

"Well, much to my infuriation, I cannot get Texmod to work with the Mass Effect 3 demo.  Not sure if Origin is blocking it or what, but the game simply won't run.

As for the Male N7 armor, I'll look into it tonight. "

reading through the last posts in that thread its not looking good. ea/bioware probably dont want people modding the game

Oh man, It is a bad news, Jsxdf.

I am currently playing Mass Effect 2 PC with texmod.

By the way, I own both ME2 PC and xbox. ME1 PC and xbox. ME1 PC has the best texture.

I don't understand what the F happen in Bioware. Even Dragon Age 2 has High Def texture patch. **** man.

So... is this an option in Origin?  I don't understand where you can find the configuration utility for the demo.  I have Win7 Pro.

edit, nevermind.  I see what you are saying.  I never use Game Explorer.

C:\\Program Files (x86)\\Origin Games\\Mass Effect 3 Demo\\Binaries

Check it out.

It's a console game. What did you expect? They're developing for seven-year-old hardware.

Neat. You sound fun. B)

Just for the record, I thoroughly enjoyed the demo. I've even got the Collector's Edition pre-ordered. I just think those 2D sprites look a little silly running sideways.
