To be honest, Bioware used to be an awesome developer. I understand their viewpoint in PC version, like lack of FOV, no controller support, and texture, etc.

But what make PC game successful and better than consoles is offering customization. Offering customers choices are the way to go in PC gaming.

Look at what Witcher 2 developer, Remedy (Alan Wake), Valve, Bethesda (Skyrim), etc doing, they are really dedicated into PC gaming. They know what PC gamers wanted by giving us, FOV, controller support, extended graphic options, etc. It also constantly patching the game if there is problems.

Bioware's own ego really get in the way because they have good IPs and sales. But it really hard for PC gamers to buy their next game if they keep it up like this.

Besides, their answers of fans' questions are also bad. Based on these links:
http://www.eurogamer...pport-game-pads
http://www.eurogamer...upport-gamepads

They said, "They may or may not Work" (controller), what kind of response is this.
If it does not support, it does not. What is "they may or may not work"?

Their response for not adding controller, not enough people and time. Can they add controller and UI as a free patch for PC? We can wait a little if they do it now.

For the texture, there are report saying that the texture should be better in final retail version. I will give them time to provide. Dragon Age II did have HD texture support before. So Let's hope for the best.

I wouldn't say Bethesda is the best example of a good PC developer. When Skyrim was first released, it was an unoptimized mess of a PC port. They only added stuff like higher resolution textures, proper optimizations, and PC mod support retroactively, and that's not a good business practice IMO. "Release now, finish later" is a dangerous mindset for game development on whole.

While BioWare did release a high-definition texture pack separately from DAII upon release, that may very well have been a relic of Dragon Age's PC roots. Dragon Age: Origins was a "spiritual successor" to Baldur's Gate, and initially it was going to be a PC exclusive in the vein of The Witcher before EA bought BioWare and decided to port it to consoles. Dragon Age II is, conversely, a console port to PC, but it still has enough PC DNA in its development to get proper controls, graphics options, etc. Mass Effect has never had that DNA -- the first was developed for the 360, then ported over to PC. What applies to Dragon Age doesn't necessarily apply to Mass Effect.

Mass effect in general needs a PC oreiented Optimization/utilization I.E needs to be made and LOOK for a PC, sure make a version for Consoles and there Dated hardware but don't throw that on a PC, my HD4890s can crank out 1080p just as well as the next so why not throw some better textures at the PC gamers we WANT IT!

Unfortunately, there wont be any high res textures for the PC version. Bioware decided to be lazy again.

Lets hope your somehow wrong in that assumption and they release a free patch/DLC, being that this is the final game in the series you'd think they'd want it to look its BEST.

BioWare did tweet that there would be "high resolution textures" for ME3. Hopefully that means higher resolution than what we saw in the demo.  The higher resolution textures weren't included in the DAII demo, but the game still got them.  While we can't say it will have higher resolution textures for sure, that's just it -- we can't say for sure.  We can't definitively say "there won't be any".

That's some good news, atleast they know *now* that the PC gamers are tired of being stuck with these super low res textures from console ports, maybe now *Maybe* there start thinking a lil more about there fanbase and what WE want. Just a maybe though >.>.

Sorry to burst your bubble, but that tweet was made by a PR person, they said the exact same thing about ME2.

I thought the textures were crappy at first, but then I saw I had everything set to performance on the Catalyst CC. Turned it all to quality and boom, it looked wonderful.

Sure, but there's still no reason to say "there won't be any high res textures" as if it's a fact.
