Having the same problem here, if I run Origin in offline mode, its fine, but no multiplayer. If I run it in online mode, it crashes when the screen pops up from the computer. Come on Bioware, fix your ****.

EDIT: I tried pressing the multiplayer button BEFORE the screen loads. It still crashes, just during the loading screen for Multiplayer instead. Does this help?

if you are using ati graph go and download ati 12.1 preview drivers. That fixed all, i can put all the graph options on, set my video on high and medium(for fps) and the game wont crash or freeze at all (played the single player and the muly a bit whit out any problem)just need some calibration whit your card and drivers.

pd: (dinamic shadow now seems to chomp a huge amount of fps no so drastic but more in comparation whit dinamic shadow on ME2)

Crashes here as well...
At first it was OK and I played through the included story content and a little multiplayer. But after I exited and tried to  start it up again later on... It just crashes after the EA and BioWare intro logos... Some times it gets to the 'Press any key to continue' screen, but most times it just blacks out and gets the default 'ME3 has stopped working'

I double click the demo and it crashes right away. Every time.

Pretty much tried everything...
Went into my Nvidia configuration menu and made it run the ME3 demo, in stead of the integrated Intel GPU. Didn't help.
Tried re-downloading it. Didn't help...
Even tried disabling the integrated gpu. Helped even less...
Tried disabling the Data Execution Protection but it told me it wasn't possible for the program... Haven't tried disabling my anti-virus or my firewall, but that seems just stupid...

Odd thing is- It wasn't crashing right off the bat... The first time I ran it, it was smooth as kitten fur...
Started crashing after that...

Found a possible solution...
For anyone with an Nvidia GPU, this is a rough outline of what I did:
1. Go to your Nvidia Config Menu. There should be an icon for it on the taskbar. If not, you can find it in the Control Panel.
2. Once in the Config Menu, go to 'Manage 3D Settings'.
2.1 In Global Settings, set the Preferred Graphics Processor to your Nvidia ghipset (which ever it is, the option besides Auto-Select and Integrated). DO NOT change any of the options below.
2.2 In Program Settings:
2.2.1 Find masseffect3demo.exe in the scroll for 'Select a Program'. If it's not shown, click Add and root it to your install dir (C:ProgramFiles/blah-blah-blah, wherever Origin puts your games).
2.2.2 At Select the Preferred Graphics Processor, select your Nvidia chipset. DO NOT change any of the options below.
2.3 Go to Set PhysX Configuration and select you Nvidia chipset as the PhysX processor.
3. Restart your machine.
4. Go to your installation dir, into Binaries and then into Win32. Delete the file named atiags.dll.
5. Start up Origin and right-click on your ME3 Demo. Select Repair and wait for it.

When it's done it should have fixed the problem...

The demo works even with this file... Just Repair the install from the Origin menu...
I've figured a way that works (most times, still crashes every once in awhile when trying to start it), for me at least...
Just make sure you exit Origin before you start the game...

You still get auto-logged into Origin (kinda like in STEAM) so you can play MP... Don't know why it helps to be logged out before starting it but it does... Must be an issue with Origin or something...

I was getting the quoted error on launch and a post on the second page suggesting renaming the atiags.dll fixed it. Now the game launches but I haven't tested it beyond that.

I also Have the same problem. the game crashes on start up. I have an Nvidia GT 525M 1GB DDR3 Graphics card on my laptop as well as the Intel HD Graphics 3000. I have tried:

- To repair the installation. It says everything is fine after repair.
- I have messed around with the Configuration program for the game. Nothing changes.
- I dont feel like uninstalling my Origin.
- My graphics card drivers are up to date (285.62)

I right click the game, select "run with graphics processor" and I select High performance Nvidia.

Anyone know how to solve this problem?

I had the same problem, I went in Origins, deactivated the Origins feature to be active in game (where you can shift+something to access chat, websites, etc like Steam) and my demo stopped crashing on load.

Make sure you deactivate the greeting also, when you start up the demo - you get a little pop up that tells you to hit certain keys to access Origins features. Just deactivate it.

Worked for me after that.

Turning off Origin settings just worked for me (at least it seems so) I played for an hour and a half.
Go to Origin, Settings, In Game. Turn off what you can!
