3 months ago I bought BF3 because I like fps single player games and it would give me quick access to the ME3 demo. I never really got it working in Origin and it didnt bother me anyway, cause I had plenty of other games to entertain me. But now with the ME3 demo released I'm getting frustrated:

System: Windows 7 64 Bit
Origin: 8.4.1.210

Origin installation runs fine. I install everything on a non C:/ partition (X:/ in this case), where Origin runs together with Steam (different folders)

  • Battlefield 3 is installed, KoH demo is installed, ME3 demo is installed, but only the KoH will run.
  • If I try to run BF3 or ME3 from Origin, nothing happens.
  • If I launch either game from Explorer by clicking the corresponding executables, I get an error telling me it cant find the file or that I dont have access to it
  • If I try to repair either game in Origin (rightclick > repair), it says it cant repair it (error) and should restart the PC if it continues (doesnt help)
  • There is more then enough room on the games parition (+500 GB)
  • I run everything in Administrator Mode
I have downloaded Origin 3 times, installed it 3 times (including on different partitions), I have downloaded BF3 and ME3...I dunno..too many times. I have uninstalled everything, deleted everything from the partiton and reinstalled everything...nothing..

I have been put on hold on the Dutch EA helpdesk twice for a total of 35 minutes without anyone answering me.

Please help. I wanna play ME3.... :crying:

You're running 64-bit win 7 you said, but from where it looks like the applications are installed, I see "Win32" Maybe you have them in the wrong location? I'm not really sure sorry.

Windows 64 bit can always run 32 bit programs. Henc the C:/Program Files and C:/Program Files (x86) folders in your root.

A new Windows install solved it. Yay me for helping...me. Its like doing a complete respray of a car because its dirty. <_<

EA support gave me a 15% discount on any title in the Origin store as a way of saying sorry. Do you honestly think I will ever, EVER buy anything Origin related after this total cluster****?

If anyone wants the code, pm me. Ill give it to you for free.
