Mouse movement extemely jerky (very slow motion stacking) with overlay on. Turning off the overlay makes it alright.
Origin in game overlay makes the game unplayable

Bumping this thread due to similar problem.
When I activate Origin In Game the mouse cursor works just fine in the game menus, but if I load a saved game/start a new game or join an multiplayer match I have no mouse control what so ever while playing. The camera just floats around.
Pressing escape to open the menu gives me an working mouse cursor, but as soon as I close the menu I have no control yet again.

I am having a similar problem. If I enable Origin in game, it makes the game run as if I had a Pentium II (extremely slowly). It is slow regardless whether the overlay is shown in the game or hidden.

I'd like to see a fix for this too. On my high end computer I don't encounter a problem, but on my computer with a 5 year old processor I HAVE to turn off the in-game overlay. What makes it worse is when Origin does a herp-de-derp, and won't show the settings drop down list so I can disable it. Love Bioware, hate EA. Two sides of the same coin unfortunately.

I'm experiencing the same issue. I can't even play the game with the Origin In Game enabled. I have a brand new PC able to run the game normally on max setting, but as soon as I enable the In Game (which is required to use Bioware Points or join/invite friends to games) the game lags so bad I have to force close the application just to do anything. EA said I had to contact the Developer since it's there problem, but I'm not sure how the Origin developed In Game is a Bioware Developer problem -- can anyone offer solutions to allow In Game without the lag/stutter issues?

For anyone following or reading this, I found a possible fix. I uninstalled the Origin client, redownloaded the latest version from http://http://www.origin.com/download and then reinstalled Origin. This fixed all the stuttering/lag issues for me and it even kept all my settings so I didn't have to setup Origin again or download the games all over.
