I can hear music and sound effects there is no sound coming from the characters when they speak, the lips move but nothign comes out.

What is your speaker setup? I've had this issue only very. very low voices with 5.1 surround sound speaker setup. When I switch my speaker setup to Quad, voices work perfectly. I had a thread in the other section and a dev said he couldn't see the problem.

ME3 I am having to set it to quad setup in Windows to get voice loud enough to be heard.

yeah i have 5.1 as well, thanks for the speedy reply ill try setting to quad

Posting a link to the thread before they made the PC Tech support section here. Maybe you can also let Joel know too. You can Google Mass Effect PC Voice Surround and find a lot of people reporting it with ME2. One of the many links I found had the quad suggestion is how I found out about doing that.

just changing to stereo fixed mine. 7.1 and 5.1 seem to have the issue.
