Nothing has been more frustrating than those damn timed elimination missions, especially when you have only 2 people playing. Me and some other guys were just commenting how it'd be nice if the mission didn't end if you failed an objective wave, instead making them a bonus to complete in a time frame. It's just been so agravating chasing down those Nemesis enemies as they keep running away and regrouping with other soldiers, all the while that short timer ticking away.

What do you guys think? Should these objectives be bonuses to complete that if you fail the mission ends? Or should we just have more time for those elimination missions?

I'm perfectly fine the way it is. Even with two people, I've managed to complete them. Yeah, it was hard as sin, but I could still do them. If you utilize proper builds and equipment that compliment each other, they're doable even with two people.

I have watched a stream where 2 people reached wave 10.

Yeah they're doable, but like you said they're hard as sin. I do love the challenge these maps have given me, but it really sucks when you're just about to finish off your target when the timer runs out, and to have the mission fail. Personally, if they added like 30 more seconds to the elimination missions I'd be happy with that. Too often I've had a mission fail because the timer ran out. =(

Got sucessful when Elimination was Nemesis. But we got once a elimination where the target was a god damn Atlas with full fire support to help him. That was cheap :)

Well, plot wise, the whole point the of the spec ops squad being deployed to these areas are to complete these objectives. So it makes sense for it to be a mission failed when you, N7 Marine or Salarian STG or Asari Commando, fail to complete the objectives you were sent to complete before your extraction.

Save up some rockets just in case it would be Atlas, I can pretty much handle everything rest in time, but Atlas can be bit douchey at times. And play the game on bronze when playing with two people. It's enough of a challenge that way imo.

I really like the objectives, adds some spice and discourages just camping out in the same spot (as happens in Gears horde)

lol, I've only played on Bronze so far. I've probably played 8 matches total, and only one of those had 4 people, which we completed all the way through. The rest of the time was just 2 people total, and whenever those eliminations popped up were failed most of the time because the timer ran out. It was definitely a lot easier with 4 people, and I just happened to have a rocket from a previous package, so the Atlas elimination was no problem as we were doing just fine anyway.

Maybe the timer could be tweaked to give you more time the less people you have, it's definitely been more frustrating than fun for me for just that objetive type.:pinched:

I love the amount of creds and xp you get from completing the objectives, but it's painful though if you fail one set into a long game and have to restart the entire map over. I like the idea of getting big bonuses from completing them, heck I'd be cool if you took some hefty penalties if you failed an objective, but to me it seems rather harsh in failing the entire mission if you fail a single objective.

You just have to be more AGGRRRRRESSSSIVE!

I have found the Noveria map to be easier to navigate and bit "tighter", so go for that, take a good rifle (Like M8 Avenger, love it) and then move forward, hosing those targets down, tossing grenades at the shielded guys (well try to land them behind them), spamming concussion shot when the cooldown permits, keeping enemies from firing back at you and decimating your enemies completely!

Become MACHINE!

....Oh yeah and use your ears and watch eachothers backs.

Well that's the thing, I usually get very aggressive going after the target, but a lot of times I found the target surrounded by enemies. I usually have to rush after the target into the middle of the group as they stick behind cover all the while the timer is ticking down. Usually results in my death as my partner and I get overwhelmed a lot in those situations. If we had more time on the clock we could focus more on taking out the target's guards than making kamikazi runs. =P Again, this is really a major factor with the time when it's two people from what my experiences.

I agree. I did relatively well with another random person online and we got to wave 9 (then it became damn hard to kill all the enemies that were swarming you).

With 4 people it's actually quite easy if they work together to get all the targets.

When one Atlas constituted four missiles and our only reaction to Phantoms was, "What the hell is that?"
