I have played Dragon Age for like a week now and not every day and already it has a rather large number of scrathes. Is this normal? Does your disc also have many scrathes? It didn't have any when I bought it!. Its not deep scrathes that you can feel when touching the disc, but you can defiantly see that I used it. Is this normal and the same with you? By the way this is on all my games, after I played for a while, but I think it happened rather fast with that many scrathes with this game!

Sounds like a problem with your hardware drive. May want to investigate that and make sure it is clean of dust.

Shale could be the reason your disc is scratched...

I would recommend using canned air to blow out your case, including the optical drive bays and then use a cloth moistened with rubbing alcohol to wipe down the optical drive tray. It's amazing how much dirt can build up in some computers.

Also listen for a "wobble" sound when your disk is spinning. Sometimes optical drives develop a mechanical fault which prevents the disk from spinning properly. This may result in stress cracks around the inside edge of the DVD. If this is happening, REPLACE your optical drive before you totally destroy your DVDs and CDs.

Blowing air in a drive merely makes it swirl around inside and then re-settle

Dismantling the drive is the best solution. Then you can blow air and/or clean with an alcohol-soaked swab, or you can buy another drive from a reputable online pc parts dealer(around $30). always make sure you ground yourself or wear a esd wrsit strap before you go messing with ANYTHING in your pc.

Thats why I said blow out the CASE, before using alcohol moistened cloth or swab.

Look I didn't say my DVD was awfullu scrathes, just a little. It is not possible to play a game and not get a single scrath on it(excuse the grammar, but englisg is not my first language. And all this talk about replacing my drive and blowing air into it just makes me confused, because some say one thing, one says something else. Im not even sure if its a real scraths. I mean you can just see these lines , like a nail has been pulled down the disc. Don't know how else to explain it. Maybe you have a completely different opinion on what a scraths is. I cannot feel anything rough when touching my disc in the places where I believe its scrathes!

Huh. To answer your question I'd have to remove the DVD from my drive. Sorry but I'm not seeing a win-win solution here.

Mine is still perfect. Like the above posts you probably have a optical drive that needs to be cleaned.
