Pretty much everything is in the title.
I bought a new rig, and I'm using a traditional HDD and an SSD for storage. I want to transfer my save files and such onto the new hard drive, so I'm stuffing everything into an external drive for transferring.
How can I preserve my ME, ME2 (and any other game I have) for that matter?
New computer, new hard drive, transferring files. How to preserve saves?

Users/*username*/My Documents/Bioware
Copy the entire directory and you will be able to import when ME3 rolls around.

Each game has a place where it stores it's saved games. Many use the "My Documents" folder. Some store the saved games somewhere in the install directory. ME/ME2, for instance, keep their saved games in "my documents\\bioware". When you go there you should see a Mass Effect folder and a Mass Effect 2 folder, these are the folders you'll want to keep.
For most of the games you have you should be able to find their saved games in various folders under "my documents" or in the games' install directory, just snoop around a bit. If you can't find the saves for a specific game just google something along the lines of "<game name here> saved games location"
