I have advanced tactics. I like my party members to stay close to me and not run off after an enemy. I have got my party set to defensive. My only issue is how do i get my party members to use their talents on enemys i am attacking and stay by my side?

The forums are quite dead at the moment.

You can let your party members attack the same enemy as you do with enemy--> target of main character, and then choose the ability you want them to use, or just the attack option. To prevent that your mage and/or archer runs into the crowd, you can set them to ranged.
I think the melee characters should not run spontaneously to a random enemy when you have them on defensive. They shouldn't do that as long as you haven't set them on aggrressive.

A simple way to get everyone to attack the same enemy using the tactics menu could be something like the following:

Enemy:  Target of controlled character       Action:  Attack (or other talent-based attack of your choice)

I have a PC-version of the game, so I can also use the Shift + F1, F2, F3, and F4 keys to select individual characters to attack in unison with others.

With ctrl + A you select your entire party and then click on an enemy. Press ctrl + A again when you have done that, or they won't use any abilities.

As with many games, there's a rush of postings for the first year or so, then they become much less frequent. Patience appreciated, as always.
