I pasted my ME2 face code into ME3 custom character gen. But instead of my lovely blonde Femshep, I've got Sharon Stone's ugly sister.
Has ME3 ruined your Shepard's looks?
Does a ME2 profile import preserve ME2 character's looks in ME3? Or are we stuck with the munsters?

Edit:
Another obvious thing to point out is that unless they add the exact hair models from ME2, then the hair will definitly be different. Some of them I think look way better/more real than the plasticy looking ones of the previous 2 games.
I just had a look to see how Eiko looks and whilst can tell the difference, her hairstyle is slightly off due to them making the tied back hairstyles more flowy and whilst I think it looks ok (if not better) for some, hers I think was perfect as the full on tight tied back look.

I actually tweaked the ME3 demo so that rather than using the code, I went through the sliders and counted their spots of where they would be and I have to say she looks just as awesome even tho a bit different. Still got her asian look that I was trying to create when I made her for ME2
(Above pic is how she looks in ME2, will look at doing a pic of my modded version of her ME3 look later)

My "Sam" should be like Samuel L. Jackson, instead of that he looks like "some random brown guy", facial structure is more or less the same, but not the rest: skin tome (should be darker), eyes and and mouth (should be bigger) are different..... but with the nose and hair & beard...... ¡it has totally nothing to do!Sir Ulrich Von Lichenstien wrote...
Finally got into the CC of the demo and as has been said the numbers don't match up. If you go into the sliders there are a few of them where numbers/letters are jumbled up. Jack (avatar) whilst having pretty much the same facial structure, his hair/brow/eye colours are a bit off.
But I wonder why "Kate" (the character I'm currently building and whose face code I got from the internet) is fine......

Hey guys! There is this funny thing in the full game that isn't in the demo called "IMPORT CHARACTER" you should try it sometime!?!?! Seriously, game had to cut several things out as said by many others already to fit requirements. People need to stop and read other forums before constantly posting the same crap over and over. This topic has already been noted and talked about several times over.
There's this funny thing in language called tongue-in-cheek, which, unless you are someone who needs smilies to interpret subtlties in written language, was pretty clear from first post.
I searched for this and couldn't find it, if you want to be helpful, why not post links, otherwise, people need to not troll.

Srsly, I think if you change her hair to black and make her complexion darker she will look very close to the original.

Ditto. Facial structure is intact, and the new textures really work well with custom BroSheps.mango smoothie wrote...
My Shepard looks great in Mass Effect 3, so much better then in ME1 and 2.

I had the same reaction, especially with the new eye textures, at first. Playthrough with him/her a few times; you'll realize it's for the better.cachx wrote...

Some of the codes change in ME3. You can't blindly input a face code. Some things you have to change.DaBozUK wrote...

I wasn't trolling I am being serious cause what I said is an obvious thing that people who actuall know what they are talking about and have done their homework already know on here. Also there are several threads already covering this issue. (Like why don't you check out the Femshep dedication thread in the character section?)DaBozUK wrote...

That help you get it?
There are multiple colors and styles for hair and eyes that are missing and when you input the face code for the said missing color or style it skips to the next color that is actually there. Importing a character will always be better than actually typing the face code in since you are literally just transfering save data over. There have been theories and thoughts that even modded Shepards may even be possible to transfer.

I find it a great source of humour in fact. The brig clearly was not kind to her.
