Happens 100% of the time if you try to rearrange your hotkeys at all.

The hotkey bug has been confirmed, and is fixed in the retail version.

OP try a look at this thread, i had the same crashing problem and the suggestion of the first post solved everything for me

mine crashes at the same point when the ship explodes. havent got farther than that

I'm getting the same thing - it locks up completely at the point the Dreadnaught explodes. It looks like it's loading something, or trying to anyway. It may possibly be a corrupt file, so I'm going to try uninstalling it and downloading the demo again.

Update : Reinstall did it. As has been mentioned elsewhere, this can be fixed instead by doing a 'repair installation' in Origin. Can I just state for the record the fact that Origin does not auto-patch games is deeply disappointing.
