They're also not very consumer friendly.
Telling people to go out and get another monitor for a 60 to 80 euros (or dollar) game is hardly a reasonable solution.
This just reeks of lazy console port, but then again, I assume even console players would like to have this feature present as a slider.

I would really appreciate if there is an Option for FoV or at least in some .ini file.

I felt it was the same as ME2, so ridiculously small FOV. I don't get motion sick, but I just hate narrow field of view where you get lost after turning your head.

Thankfully, there was an easy fix at least for me, as in Eyefinity support.

Please allow us to change this, even if its just in the config files. I got destroyed several times by enemies just walking behind me because I physically couldn't see them with this horrible FOV.

I knew there was something "off" about the display in the game. Thanks OP for hitting the nail on the head. BW, please fix this.

Yeah, higher FOV would help a lot.

A low FOV allows a much closer look at Miranda's ... :D Haha.

Let's looks at the positives. :)

OSE, It would be the ONLY positive to this, but so it happens, that neither my enemies, nor my crosshair, not even the back of Shepard himself  look like Miranda's great bottom.

No fix like a Native FOV slider, but...

Current Solutions:

1. Lower vertical resolution to get desired horivontal FOV
2. Buy a non-standard aspect ratio display

Example:
a. http://www.vizio.com...nemawide/specs/
b. http://www.bit-tech....tors_go_curvy/1

Oh and guess what... My soultions will work for almost every game made.... ;)

Actually, a wider screen will give you a smaller fov. This game is vert-, not hor+

A lot of games are like that acually, which is to be honest completely awful.

NOPE. I'd rather be able to see left of my character and not staring at pixelated ass

ME3 has gone gold, so please Bioware give us a high res texture pack because the ones in the demo where pretty bad and a FOV slider as a day 1 patch as they're the only issues i had with the demo, we've got to use Origin to run your game so at least give us some compensation...

Arni90...

That's no longer correct with this game, they are finally using the updated unreal engine that is hor+!!!

lol i just made a post about this. Fail by me. FOV needs to be adjustable for any player this game is way to narrow. Tell Totalbiscuit about this and he will make them add it. he hass done it before.

TB is already on it, skip to 16:11 that is when begins to talk about the fov and how zoomed in it is. This is a serisous gamebreaker for a lot of PC players, we have to deal with motion sickness and headaches.

Please allow wider horizontal FOV.

I will skip this game until this is improved, narrow is sickening.

Exactly.  It's like playing through a zoom lens the entire time.  In fact, most games implement scope/zoom by temporarily decreasing FOV.

An extra ten or fifteen degrees would make the world of difference, in my opinion. I love what I've played so far, but I hate not seeing enemies standing right beside Shepard, it's aggravating.

I am in complete agreement with the OP. The SA available to the player is far to low to be of any use. Good tactical choices cannot be made on that level. Some games intentionally reduce SA so that they can slip OPFOR in on you unaware. Increase the player's SA so that you can increase PSAT.

The ideal/natural FOV for a game is 90 degrees.
Real human vision has 180 degrees FOV,which is 90 for each eye.
Since there is only one screen, the ideal FOV would be 90,which is the same FOV as a single eye.
180 FOV would be too much for a single screen, because thanks to the lack of stereoscopy it would seem having fisheye effect.

Agreed. FOV is really too narrow.

Not exactly.  It's partially dependent on what angle of your vision your screen occupies.  If you have a 3-monitor setup, 180 would be fine, possible even a bit narrow.  Due to the distance, a TV usually takes up less of your actual viewing angle than a close-up PC monitor, which is why console games can get away with narrow FOVs.

Here's a very nice informative video about what FOV is and why it needs to be different for PC games, and ideally adjustable.

There is no universal magic value which works for everyone.  There should be a slider to adjust the FOV, and the "ideal/natural" FOV is based on several factors like your distance to the display, aspect ratio, etc.

Was thinking of trying to play it on my Eyefinity setup but somehow i think that the game doesn't even support it properly.
