This happens because you switch between two characters while in the lobby of a game. It is a bug, yes, but I found that if you just quit out of multiplayer (go back to the main ME3 screen) and then go back in, that will fix it. Just make sure you have your character picked before going into a game.

this and the post under yours are windows firewall/router issues
had the same issue the other day youll need to add ME3 to the expections list

I have a level 20 Female Vanguard with full cusomtisation and received a female Vanguard in the veteran pack I just purchased which gave me exp (no benefit since I am at the level cap) and no customisation (already unlocked it all and just checking I didn't get any extra colours or patterns) so this item was of no benefit to me.

1) I've played two games, one on each of the maps vs Cerberus, where my character was frozen in place at the player spawn point. I also witnessed this happen to one of my team mates. In all three cases, the player was able to unfreeze only by being killed and reviving in the next wave. This is a very unfortunate bug.
( Is this a mapping problem ? )
2) Played a game where the goal was stated to be "Kill enemy targets" - but "Devices Enabled 1 - 2 - 3 - 4" floated at the top of the screen instead.
3) Played a game where there was INCREDIBLE lagging going on. Now I know what it's like to experience slow time. A very frustrating and confusing experience. Firing on enemies which registered no damage - or took damage but were suddenly beside me, behind me, or already killed by a team mate. I thought i'd find my character stomped on in no time. My team was able to finish the game but it was a very weird game play experience !
4) Revival does not seem to work consistently all the time on the two maps. Sometimes I can revive a team mate okay, other times it seems I miss being able to revive someone - even if I'm right there and am pressing the A button.
5) Infinite "Connecting" Screen. This has happened a couple of times.
I figure EA's servers must be pretty loaded from all the traffic. Rather than wait more than two or three minutes, i've had to quit and search for a new game. This was disappointing because I'd found a group of similarly leveled players I was hoping to play with.
6) Melee attack power seems to vary occasionally on the standard Cerberus trooper.
Sometimes my characters attacks are unable to connect, or it takes three or more strikes to kill a trooper -where in a different game, I was getting one hit kills. ( No, I didn't level up the melee attacks considerably for this character. )
7) ( Not a bug - but a request )
I really want to push Bioware to consider modifying the cover system - or better yet - giving us an alternative.
Instead of falling into cover so easily...and getting stuck in cover as seems to happen, perhaps you can provide us with an alternative cover set up. Several times now, I find my character sliding around a doorway, or desk...instead of running to a better position. This delay has resulted in getting my character downed or killed several times.

PLEASE FIX THIS BUG !!!
10) One of my team mates reports that my weapon continued to have muzzle flash...even after my character stopped firing !
11) ( A Suggestion ) I think it looks dorky to have the incendiary ammo indicator appear on the gun itself.
This looks ridiculous. It looks like a flaming cartoon bullet sticking out of the gun.
An indicator for incendiary - or other ammunition variants can certainly appear on other parts of the screen...say next to our ammo count indicator !!!

Also, one time I spent 20k on a Veteran Pack, the "pack-opening-animation" stopped and a messagee told me the purchase couldn't be processed, but I lost the Credits anyway!

On Gold difficulty a lvl 20 Widow infiltrator takes the barrier of a phantom (or the shield of a nemesis) down with 1 headshot (lvl 5 sniper damage) uncloaked. However, when you cloak and headshot the phantom the same thing happens. You only take the barrier down but none of their HP. This is quite annoying as the widow reloads slow enough for them to regenerate 1 bar of barrier and the next shot again takes down 1 bar of barrier down, but no HP. I hope this is not working as intended because the player doesn't have such immunity between shields and health (like it was in ME2). Obviously I'd like to do my full damage in cloak because that hinders snipers a lot on Gold... I have a video where a few of us beat gold and that's shown there quite nicely. I'll update the topic with link.
2nd bug has happened only on a soldier so far. And I have recorded a video of it, but I'll post it later. In short what happens is I can't use any powers, can't regain ammo, can shoot my guns but they don't do any damage and most enemies except phantoms appear oblivious to me. As if I'm not there. Seems to me it's something to do with adrenaline rush, but I can't be 100% sure. I'll update this post with the video once it's uploaded.

In round 9 my vanguard teammate (human female) glitched out leaving her in a state of constant free fall, now for some reason this lead to my shields going beserk and in a state of constant recharge, no matter how much fire I took my shields would overcome them. Once I had completed the objective in that round (Hack & defend) the vanguard was able to move again and my god-like shield disappeared .
And for the rest of the match when ever the vanguard got downed her body ended up beneath the floor.
It twas a strange match.
..still won though :3

Overload with a stun upgrade used on Assault Troopers in Benning that rocket down from the boxes above, will make them slide though the floor when they hit it stunned. They die and you get the registered kill. Not game breaking, more fun but it may lead to other things.

1) empty power mapping. I had a game where I've fully prepared with max powers, and the only thing appeared is the combat drone. Definitely a game changer.
2) powers not curving properly. especially tech ones like incinerate. for biotics it does seem to work.

1) I started a match and, as soon as it started, my character model's legs began moving really fast like he was running in place, except that I couldn't actually move. The only way I could move around the map was by rolling, but, as soon as the roll was over, he would run in place and I couldn't move anymore. Eventually, I got tagged and went down. After I got resurrected I was fine. I was a human adept if that matters.
2) I was playing Asari Adept. Out of nowhere, my heavy melee just refused to activate. I would hold down the B button and she would just do a regular melee attack. I tried to see if she would string attacks together like the humans do (like with the different pistol whip animations). I tried to repeatedly tap B but she just kept doing the same move over and over. Anyway. It eventually just started working again, but it took about 3 minutes.
