Majora's Mask? Fantastic game. I beat it for the first time this December after playing through Skyward Sword and needing more Zelda.
*Wishing I still had an N64 right now*
I actually got it through the Wii store, so in my case I'm using the gamecube remote. Admittedly, I find the controller design a bit more accomodating.
That's what I was playing it on too. My N64 broke a while back which was sad. I like the Gamecube controller better but playing the Ocarina is harder for me because I used to be the master with the C buttons on 64.

I don't understand. You're telling people to chill because their opinions are different from you? Maybe they're legitimate concerns to those people & wish to address it here. After all this place is a forum & people can say whatever they want as long as it's within the forum rules. If you don't like what people are saying, then maybe you should take a break from this place.
People can say whatever they want. And this is my response, my say, to their says. I'm just offering another perspective on common complaints to maybe help them be happier individuals, or at least allow them to enjoy ME3 more.
The power cooldown thing and the cold open thing aren't perspective issues though. Those complaints are coming from misinformed people who don't have their facts straight. In those cases I was providing facts.

Sounds like you have complaints from the demo and simply read a few lines of his first post. Chill and read the entire thing man.

1. The beginning of the game on Earth is the cold open. People have complained about a "lack of dialogue" options, saying things like, "What the hell did you do to my Mass Effect Bioware?!?!" IT IS THE COLD OPEN. In ME2's cold open, we only had 2 dialogue options when you are talking to LI or Joker. Obviously the intro sequence isn't representative of the rest of the game. Chill.
2. Power cooldowns. Please people do your research before freaking out. If you visit my ME3 Powers thread (link in my sig) you will see that power cooldown rates are dependent on your total weapon weight. In ME3's demo on Sur'Kesh, we are forced to have a 4 weapon loadout. That is a LOT of weight, so power cooldowns are going to be really long. Again, if you want faster cooldowns, in the main game just choose to take less weapons with you. Or evolve your passive class mastery to increase your weight capacity, thus increasing your cooldown rate. Chill.
3. "Sex appeal" for Ashley, Liara, FemShep, Krogan Female, or any other female character. They aren't wearing thongs. They aren't wearing bikinis. This isn't Soul Calibur. Sex does sell, especially in video games, so just understand that the "sexing up" (even though it is very VERY moderate for a video game) is a necessary evil of the industry. It should not affect your enjoyment of the story/characters unless you let it. You are in control of your own reactions/overreactions. Happiness is a choice. Chill (yes this is a motif).
4. PC elitist dissatisfaction. I am currently playing through Zelda Majora's Mask again. The graphics are crap. However, I don't notice even one bit after about 2 seconds because the game is amazing. Mass Effect 3's graphics are in HD and look better than the majority of the games out there, even if they aren't up to your uberlite PC's capabilities. So I know that if I can be immersed in Majora's Mask that you can be immersed in ME3. I too have an awesome PC that is much better than my 360, but it doesn't bother me that the graphics are slightly less amazing than what they could be. It's just the nature of the industry and the times.
Chillax. Enjoy your lives. Enjoy ME3.
I agree with your first two but the graphics seen in the demo(it's all we have to go on) are worse than ME2, I'm not even sure how thats possible. Also a simple HD texture pack would sort it out easily. As most other developers do this it's kinda rude if Bioware don't. A modern game shouldn't have textures this bad.
The argument about Majora's Mask is flawed. Yes it is a good game. Yes it overcomes its graphical limitations. But it was made many years ago. When it was released it looked as good as Nintendo could make it look. That's all anyone is asking for in regards to "PC elitist dissatisfaction". All they have to do is release an HD texture pack like they did for DA II.

I don't think the argument is flawed. The argument is that the graphics don't need to be "as good as they can be" to have maximum enjoyment. Maybe for some people that's not the case, but for many it is.
As for the HD pack, who says that Bioware won't release an HD texture pack? Didn't Skyrim just do that? I certainly think it would be a good idea for them to do so, but my whole point was you can still have a fun time with ME3 without raging about graphics. I'm not saying that it's unreasonable to expect something like an HD pack, that is completely reasonable. My point was: chill, it's not the end of the world if for some reason they don't release one.

Sorry, man, but that sounds like a personal problem. I just played the PC demo and it never crashed once. Maybe the demo isn't what you should be blaming?FOZ289 wrote...
PC demo crashed constantly, bugged up, then crashed. I'm not going through that intro again.
The only thing I'm worried about for the main game is how overwrought everything is. The gameplay seemed decent... until it crashed. A poor demo.

I completely agree with your entire post, except this. I actually remember being upset with that game and just turning off my N64. And I never played a N64 game again after that. I was just so jaded by it for some reason.

1. The Begining of Mass Effect 2 lasted about 5 minutes and we didn't have Shepard talking by himself for the most of the dialogues. Sooo, no.
2. Ok fair enough.
3. There are many video game female characters that didn't had to be "sexed up" in order to be liked. For example, it worked wery well in ME1, because it was a mature game. It wasn't trying to appeal as mutch to the teenager audience as ME3 seem to. A "necessery evil" you say? I hope that you will realise the gravity of what you said...Encouraging a developper team to put more emphasis on pure profit instead of creativity and consistency. There is nothing "necessary" to that, just "evil".
4. I don't care about graphics, but when the sequel doesn't look as good as the prequel, there's a problem
