Here I don't agree because you seem to have taken some sort of condescending attitude toward PC gamer. I Am happy you enjoy Zelda . It's a great game and play well on The Wii.  You love/enjoy it because it's what you were expecting. Now if it was a PS3 AAA tittle ..  You don't expect PS3 AAA tittle to have the same fidelity has your WII .. Same for PC  gamer. It's not about being 'elite' .  You don't expect your scooter to be a Ferrari but the same could be said for the Ferrari owner.

This.  The OP made a ridiculous comparison with Majora's mask.

What he fails to note, is that the Wii platform itself is underpowered from a processing standpoint, and so the games will never be graphically impressive......and people understand and forgive that as the gameplay more than makes up for the lack in graphics.

The Xbox 360 and the PS3 on the other hand are much more powerful than the Wii, and so a REASONABLE person would expect games on those platforms to look significantly better than on the Wii....and they do.

Similar, a gaming PC is much more powerful than both the Xbox 360 and the PS3, so a reasonable person would expect games on the PC to look much better....and they typically do for the most part.

On the other hand, when a Dev fails to utilize the processing power of the platform they are making a game for, thats simply laziness.  When the Xbox 720 comes out, would you want Mass effect 4 (or whatever it will be called) to look the same as Mass Effect 3, despite the major increase in processing power of the 720?

No of course not.

Haha believe me I had the same concerns as you before they gave us this image.

She was just in her casual clothes (not combat clothes) at the beginning of the game, just like how Shepard was in his casual clothes and not his armor.  The Reapers caught them offguard.

Majora's Mask is N64 not Wii.  Even so, the argument still stands: optimal graphics are not necessary for optimal game enjoyment.

4. PC elitist dissatisfaction.  I am currently playing through Zelda Majora's Mask again.  The graphics are crap.  However, I don't notice even one bit after about 2 seconds because the game is amazing.  Mass Effect 3's graphics are in HD and look better than the majority of the games out there, even if they aren't up to your uberlite PC's capabilities.  So I know that if I can be immersed in Majora's Mask that you can be immersed in ME3.  I too have an awesome PC that is much better than my 360, but it doesn't bother me that the graphics are slightly less amazing than what they could be.  It's just the nature of the industry and the times.

Chillax.  Enjoy your lives.  Enjoy ME3.

Yeah lets compare the graphics of a game from 1999 with a  game from 2012

Yeah, let us ignore the point. Sage was saying that graphics ultimately do NOT make a game successful, it is the story and gameplay that makes them truly successful and makes people want to pick the game up. Seriously, how often do you go "the story made about as much sense as a man trying to survive a hurricane by taping himself to a tree and the gameplay was even worse! But this game has the best graphics so this is definitely fun!"? I can bet not one person has, yet they put too much importance on the graphics.

Finally a thread that has no complaints about the demo and makes perfect sense. I was just (well been) getting tired of about the same thread popping up about " is that all the dialogue" or "why did you ruin my game BioWare"! It really gets annoying and I think I'm gonna be in this thread for a while until some new announcement comes up.

I just played the demo..

..and I'm stoked for ME3! Sure, the textures and frame rates aren't the greatest and there wasn't a lot of dialogue options, but that's because it's a demo. I mean, shooting at the water did nothing. No splash. Know why? Because it's a demo. Bare-bone minimum. I trust in BioWare that the final product will be at it's best. They're not going to include everything in the demo, it would spoil the experience. It was just meant to whet our appetites, and for me it succeeded.

Well of course it's not necessary.  However, that doesn't mean developers don't have a professional obligation to utilize the processing capabilities of the platform they are developing for.

Why buy an Xbox 360 after all, rather than a Wii if you can get equal game enjoyment with the latter?

No, you buy an Xbox 360 because it can give you bigger and better environments and graphics, more realistic animations, physics etc compared to the Wii..

Your assertion is truthful in the grand scheme of things, but the context you're using to prove your point is absurd.

So what you're saying is that ME3 does not look better than the best Wii games?  Because to me that is absurd.  If the graphics were truly bad, then it would be one thing, and truly cause for concern.  That's not the case.  The graphics are very good, just not the best they could be.

As for the console gaming paradigm, that is an industry problem, not Bioware's fault.

Yeah debating with people on the interwebs is like yelling at a wall expecting the paint to change colors...nobody ever listens just continues to complain...feedback is one thing but thats not what most of it is...

But at the end of the day the game looks ,feels, & plays better then a game that I loved & I will enjoy the hell out of it & could really care less if anybody else feels the same.

You have a good point, but must i remember you that we are talking about BIOWARE here. After SWTOR and DA2, people have a right to be concerned

Basically with the level of hype surrounding this game, you're gonna end up with people whose expectations are going to be disappointed. Combined with the level of emotional involvement some have invested into the game, you're bound to have some loud and whiny players.

There's a thin line between love and hate.  Nintendo and candle wax have both taught me that.

I also think it's a matter of balancing passion with appreciation that people have problems with.

You mean...PREORDER CANCELLED!!!   ?

I can't fault you for being leery of chillaxers.  I would be myself.  I guess my advice to you (which you understandably won't take) is to focus on the content of the assertion and not the pretentious language.

I would ...but that word just throws me off. I got side tracked in thought when "Zelda" popped in there. Then whe I was presented with the renowned "Chillax"...It was just more than I could handle. I tried to reread post 1, but to no avial. the damage was done.

You can't unring the bell.

What the hell is that anyway? It sounds like a stool softner.

Besides the game seems tailored to new players and a new crowd. A magnet for CoD and GoW players. I am neither. My grandchildren play those. So...no trial, no purchase. And yes that directly translates into cancled preorder.

Well you win some you lose some.  I think it makes sense that it sounds like stool softener.  Soft stool is often excreted by relaxed and calm individuals.  Yeah "chillax" may run the risk of sounding patronizing, but its intent is pure.

I like how people says that ME3 is sexed up when clearly, ME2 is the most sexed up of them all, just take a look at Kelly or Jack or wait.. MIRANDA! She had a backstory and a reason to be as sexed up as possible .. Ashley in ME3 is nothing compared to those three. And the post about the first game being more mature, and least sexed up, in some regards, expect that that's the only game we saw nudity, and it had strippers?
