I'm just glad it won't have hawke and it sounds really epic. I looked up DA3 details, and quite a few exist. Hawke's story is continued in DA2 dlc, the world will take place in more than just one city, the plot revolves around the mage vs templar stuff, and you can go to orlais and tevinter to inspire the rebellion or calm it. Sorry I don't have links with these confirmed details but i'm sure people already know about them

I don't understand all of the loud discontent directed toward DA 2. I played both DAO and DA 2, and I appreciate each for their positive attributes. There are some things that I liked better in DAO, like the ability to initiate dialog with party members at my own choosing rather than the very limited windows of opportunity developers give us in DA 2. As for DA 2, I enjoyed the story a little more than the original DAO story.

As for game-play, I like a bigger wide open world much like the latest Elder Scrolls release. They created a perfect beautiful world where I could see the Dragon Age story fitting into. If BioWare could find a way to employ the DA story (with more companion interaction and dialog) along with their combat mechanics into a world with similar graphics and openness as Elder Scrolls, with optional quests in addition to the main story line, I think it would be hard to imagine a better fantasy RPG. B)

Oh really? Well I was hoping since Bioware already tried to expand their market to the FPS genre that they might cater to the sports crowd next. Dragon Age: Madden 40 DA! The football teams could be racial with Dwarves, Dalish Elves, City Elves and Humans or you could go with factions like Templars, Mages and the Darkspawn. I would imagine the Darkspawn would likely get alot of flags for having "too many men on the field" and the mages would constantly be "off sides" since now they can teleport short distances. And of course Force Mages would likely be responsible for many face mask penalties.

Just kidding, I still love you Bioware, even if I think of you as that wacky/strange family member which I try to avoid making loud noises around and keep sharp objects out of the hands of.

Oooo,Maker, that is just hilarious.I just imagined a bunch of hurlocks in foorball shorts. Some things cannot be unseen:lol:

firs of all let me just say i actually liked the story and graphic modifications of DA2, and now to get back to writing about DA3. i would love to see morrigans child as the new protagonist but i know thats imposible since only half or so players did the ritual so i was thinking and my thaughts are that having a new protagonist in every DA game is actually a good thing i mean just imagine if hawke and the warden were to team up what they could do, and im thinking that in the last DA game all the protagonists of the previous titles that survived (warden didnt live for some players so i would love to see the possibility to die with one of the other characters, not sacrifice just failed the final quest and died trying) and for DA3 i would love to see a game that (gonna write a big ass intro bellow):

-the game starts with you as a mage (male or female your choice, human or elf BW's choice because i love voiced protagonist and its easier to do that with 2 voice actors rather than 4)
-you are just an aprentice and didnt finish the harrowing yet (meaning the templars dont have your philactery) but were supposed to go through it in a few days when the demons started attacking (uldred from DA:O) and you started running out when you saw your friends and maybe boy/girl friend were just about to get killed by a demon
-you tried to fight it but the demon was too strong for you and then you flash to the fade where you meet mouse from the magi origin of DA:O
- he tells you he will give you power to help your friends if you give him your body
-while relictant to do so you agree because you dont see any other way too save your friends thus becoming an abomination
-this is when you get the choice between warrior, rogue or mage; while you still have some basic spells like fireball and such no matter your choice because you were once an aprentice and you can use weapons and armor thanks to the mouses strength, again no matter what your choice however your future spells and abilities do depend from your choice of warrior, rogue or mage (its not all the same)
-but when mouse entered your body somethng strange happened, your remained the dominant mind and your body still looks normal so you used mouses strength and killed the demon rescuing your friends and protecting them while they were runing to the entrance/exit of the tower
-when you got there you finally feel like its over and you and your friends are safe for the moment when the templars look at you and start checking for demons, they naturally find out about mouse and treat you like any other abomination and want you dead
-you then escape them and wander around ferelden at first because you were depresed having lost everything and you can hear mouse talking to you something like why dont you let me help you, but you are smart enough to know that all he wants is to control you so you dont give in
-this lasts quite a while until you get out of that deprsed state when you remember that tevinter alows blood magic and demons and you hope that the mages of tevinter might know how to reverse this process
-with this new goal you travel to tevinter and find a magister who is willing to examine you since you dont have any coin being a traveler after all (also it might be cool that you meet your first companion on the way to tevinter but i dont know who that should be yet) and while the magister feels for you he belives that there is no way to reverse the process (whitch there really isnt i would like for the pc and mouse to become friends near the middle of the game and your character can find peace with what he or she has become) but the magister offeres to train you in ways to control your new found powers
-you stayed with him a around 8-10 years and have finished your training (found 1-2 more companions in tevinter, one was the magisters daughter who if your char is male has a crush on you and wants to go with you when you leave and if your char was female then you and her have become good friends over these years and she wishes to explore the world with you who she knows will always be there for her)
-a few months after you started travelig you hear about the mage-templar war that started in the marches and is slowly but surely spreading around the world, at first you try ignoring it feeling nothing for the templars that wanted to kill you for accepting mouse's offer but wanting to help the mages that were once in your place however you know that noting good can come from you an abomination involving yourself so you stay out of it at firs but then somethin happens that forces you to involve yourself

i still havent decided what that should be but it would need to be good, and thats about as far as i got on my own please tell me what you think about this and if you think it is likely

sorry for my spelling

ok lets stop beating round the bush.....
The next DA neeeds to continue where DAO ended ,no pre 200 or after years sideway story. The riddle of morrigan is still there and it  must have a continueation(forgive any bad spelling)else it will become a very smelly cliffhanger..
Also scratch off DA2 as an mediocore achievment , i know its hard to admit but the peoples voice say so. Learn from it instead of denying it ,and drop a mega bomb with a future  DAO2.And if EA puts pressure on tell em to shove it , trhe whole community will be behind you .

Bathesdas Skyrim should be your major challenge, bring somin equal at least

I disagree it should start off after the events of da 2. as much as i dislike da2 one should appreciate the new world state it brought.

you m8 wanna re read what i wrote  CONTINUE where DA:O stoped  ...peroid.
tighten up loose ends , and realize cliffhangers suck big mama honey donkey ass, none likes em and theyre not cool.
Cool is you bring the story of morrigan into real play ...where it belongs ...not in a failure DLC, in the continuation of
DAO2!!!
DA2 was ok but game..mech..wise , but  had almost noting todto me with DA:O
Hey its ok you thought you can add  up  a  bull**** story to an an existing brilliant one  but you failed .
My guess is some ppl at EA  muscled  in in the development  process and failed hardcore .
The BW i know will be back bad ass one day i hope

ppl like me ...please elaborate that .
there are reasons to criticise DA2 since its set out to be an RPG.And from a Developer that mastered
the art of rpg development i still give it a big COULD HAVE BEEN BETTER.
Could have been better means it aint bad , but it smells like rotten food .
Looks good , plays good ...but aaawww that stench.
All im saying take the combat from da2 -cuz its the only good thing -and leave all the rest the way it was with DA:O (storywise).
throw it on the market and even top ME3 (wich is a great game )
after that devour f.....g EA ...gonna have a party when that logo seize to exist

Ok even if you didn't like DA 2 you can't just completely erase it from history because there were things that happened in the game and it's DLCs that they can work with and expand.  So I think DA 3 has to factor in the events of DA 2 and it's DLCs because despite the controversy over the game itself there were interesting things that happened.
