 What is this? First you don't give us keyboard shortcuts, then you give us horrible textures, then you give us ridicolous FOV and now this? The game doesn't support 5.1. What an utterly dissapointment. I hope this get's fixed when the game comes out because I didn't pay for a half assed PC port. 
Edit: No wonder the game was so quiet.

I have to change my Windows speaker setting to Quad for it to work properly. That's not 5.1 but it gives better audio.

I was playing on optical out and I swear it was in 5.1

I had to change the setting to quadrophonic in order to hear it better. There was only sound coming out of 2 speakers when set to 5.1... maybe it's a demo problem.

Basically the voices are only sent to the center speaker in ME. Other BW games I've done on PC (DA series and TOR) do not limit voice to center only in a x.1 setup like Mass Effect does. So if your center speaker is not pumping out the same volume as the other satellite speakers you will get this issue. Which is why setting speakers to quad fixes it since ME no longer realizes there's a center speaker and just pumps the sound to the front speakers.
