It has been said there is a "Reset Powers" option once you're in the MP lobby, but it's greyed out.  There needs to be a way to completely wipe the character, or people who want to try something different with the same race will be screwed.

Maybe it's available in the full game, just not the demo?

Little confused since I can't get into MP till friday but... can't play more then 1 race? LIke...if I make a Krogan Sentinel, I can't make a Krogan Soldier? Or you can only have 1 'soldier'?

-edit-
Or just each combination so, ultimately, 2 Krogans? Krogan Soldier and a Krogan Sentinel and you want a power reset so you can re-destribute your points?

Each class has 4 characters to choose from (however most are locked to begin with). So each class has 4 different characters, some human some other species and a mix between male and female (where applicable).

So that effectively means that it's more class centric rather than species centric.

Say you choose the Human Adept.  You name him and distribute his powers.  When you do, you can't reset his powers, his level, his name, anything.

As far as what you're thinking, certain classes have certain races attached to them.  Krogans can be soldiers and sentinels, etc.  You can just never reset any decision you make in its current state.

It's in the full game, Dev already confirmed:

It may be locked in the demo, but as far as I know you'll be able to reset your points in release.  When you're in the skill points screen, you'll notice a button for it.  Mine is greyed out right now.

What, like deleting a created Character?

If so, I'd like that.

I'm hoping it allows you to get all your points back for a small XP or credit hit.  I don't want to have to start from scratch just because I picked a skill I don't like.

this would be nice. I went for a weight decrease when I needed a weapon damage upgrade. Would love to change that.

Total speculation, but apparently, to get the 'readiness' bonus in your single-player game, you 'promote' your multiplayer characters to the 'Galaxy at War'.

I'm guessing that this might free up that character's slot, allowing you to start a new character of the same race/class. So, for instance, you play a Turian Soldier, and you promote them, thus 'deleting' that character (and increasing your readiness rating), freeing up the 'Turian Soldier' slot to create a new one.

As I say, complete and utter speculation on my part, but it makes sense (IMO), and I figured it was a relevant musing...

This would be a good system, and doesn't sound far off base considering how like, every co-op and multi shooter has a "Prestige" mode where you start over, and sending your character off to war is basically starting up a fresh recruit.

That sounds awesome. I'm going to make so many Vanguards the planets will bounce around the galaxy from all the biotic charges.

This would be really nice to have patched into the demo. Make it cost credits or something, but just give me the option to fix classes that I built completely wrong. I was young and reckless, please don't have those mistakes keep me, and anyone else, from having fun with an entire class.
