The nemesis enemy needs some work

The nemesis is the Cerberus female sniper who wears a cool mask, makes weird cyber noises and can take your shields out with one laser guided shot. She also runs around the battlefield like a chicken with it's head cut off when she takes damage or you get in melee range. All the other enemies are excellent, but the nemesis is a little wonky, imo, and needs a little work for her behaviours..

Yeah she is pretty underpowered. Maybe give her a cloak or something like the Geth Hunters in ME2 while she runs away? Or give her a melee stun+run. She is easier to kill than the non shielded enemies for sure.

The whole 'fleeing while in melee' thing makes sense. The Nemesis is both physically wimpy and ill-geared for CQC.
Running as soon as she's getting shot makes sense too, unless she does it when she has good cover to duck back into or a shot lined up...

On the Cerberus boards, all they do is cry about shieldgate. I don't think I've ever been killed by a nemesis. It's always the centurion next to her that steals her kill.

Precisely. Give them a katana and Shadow Strike or Electric Slash. That oughtta make 'em tougher. So far they are the weakest enemy both in AI and in general.

They can strip any character's shields in one shot. By themselves they are no threat but with other support they are a pain.

I've posted a thread like this one a month ago suggesting to give them a melee attack if anyone gets to close and personal. I don't see them being aggressive with this melee attack like the marauders are, but if they wish to change location for a better sniping spot, they should be able to make themselves some room.

I'm fine with a self defense mechanism buff added as long as it doesn't involve her sniping. My vorcha is having a hard enough time surviving with random Raptor shots from everywhere.

She is perfect as she is. If you get in close it's all over for her but it is not always easy to catch her. She is a royal PITA from a distance and at times makes you break normal combat to go deal with her. Any buff of significance would make her a whole other level of dangerous.

Oh yes they a real pain when they never leave their spawn and just sit there like a dislexic cat... they just waste time as you go hunting for her.

Yeah, that should make sure that everyone who plays a squishy character dies constantly.

Nemesis is pretty funny and cute actually. Don't underestimate her too much. In packs or 3 or 4, she can kill you in the blink of an eye.

This. I get so sick of having my shields blasted away without an enemy in sight, looking around for the train that just hit me. It's worse when I'm engaged in melee with assault troopers, having gone from an indestructible force to a vulnerable soul with one nemesis shot from 3 miles away

Do you WANT Nemesi to stunlock you to ******* death. Or how about shoot 7 sniper shots in 0.5 seconds that can track you and do all that while stasis'd???? Or how about a CQC "self-defense" mechanic that glitches out her AI & turns her into a more fearful aggressive force than the Phantom???


BioWare? Proper balance? Yeah, sure...

I swear I heard a Nemesis exclaim "Disgraceful" yesterday, as an Assault Trooper threw at grenade at me and it bounced of the table I was covered behind xD

I actually have to agree with this.  I mean by herself she is barely a danger to a fly...I think we can pretty much all agree with that.

But then at the same time...if we are caught unawares. or we are busy dealign with other threats, all she has to is take down our shields. And gives the perfect oppotunity fot the threat in front of us (Phantom/Atlas/Centurian Squads) to take down our health.  


And to add that on top of it now...Nemesi seems to be quick-scoping more often than before.

I don't know. Nemesis are simple when you know where they are, and you aren't currently dealing with other other enemies. On higher difficulties they can be pretty annoying. Especially if more than one at a time is targeting you, and you get shot from nowhere. They can force you into cover, preventing you from shooting the enemies that are swarming in on you. I think they are fine as is.
