Yes, exactly. All attempting to reason does is make people with opposing views more stubborn and resistant. Save reason for those few indecisive people of BSN, and you might accomplish something unless it's the kind of hostile and poorly argued reason that the internet is infamous for..

I dont think you can blame the demo for the quality of writing in the demo, blame Xboxlive and there 2gb data limit. I think maybe Bioware shouldve made the MP portion a separate download in itself so they didnt need to cut things in the demo and those lvls couldve represented itself better.

well if Bioware would actually talk about this game and not be so freaking spoiler protective things would change around here .

I'm just fine with them being spoiler protective. People would still attack people for their opinions. That's just what being anonymous on the internet does to people.

If you didnt complain about the dialogue in ME2, i doubt you will in this one. Seen the leak scripts, its at least on the same level, maybe better. At least in general, there are low points ofc. Positives outweight the negatives tough.

ME2 was bad in that regard too. This one looks worse.

Yeah its not like ME1 didnt have any cringe worthy moments. Oh wait, it did.

"Saren despises humanity, thats why he attacked Eden Prime!" yet only moments earlier he said in the Normandy "he didnt attack Eden Prime just because he hates humans"

"In a battle today we will HOOLD THE LINE!"

"Mother! No! Dont leave, fight him!"

"Goodbye little wing"

"no light, they always said there would be....uuunghh"

"Maybe youre right, maybe there is still a chance to....URUUUUGH!! Im sorry, Sovereing is too strong, it is too late for me!"

"We will have a HUMAN council with a HUMAN chairman! Human! HUMAN HUMAN HUMAN!!!"

yet every one of these whiners eventually ALWAYS goes back to it when comparing, how amazing and wonderful the first game was and now everything is ****...

Let's face it ME1 wasnt exactly the best thing ever... Sequels have improved on lot of points. Like the combat.

Indeed. Both 1 and 2 had their share of cornbowl, but that's ok because it's a space epic computer game, it needs to work in fairly sweeping, broad strokes.

Maybe the demo dialogue would make me cringe too, but I ain't exactly expecting Shakespeare.

There was not much story content in the demo. I don't see where alls the butthurt is coming from.
Not the writers job to make you care about a planet you actually live on!
You should already care, in game prose is not likley to change your views or soften your heart of stone if you don't.
Do not confuse delivery with script. It 'The writing' was fine, the pacing was a little off at first but got better.
Y'all need to calm down, check your presciptions and go outside for ten minutes

Uh, yes it is the writer's job to make us care about planet Earth 2183. Anything else is just assuming that the reader (or in this case the gamer) will automatically care.

*sigh*

I love what I've seen of this game so far. Looks like its going to be quite fun. I'm a bit anxious about some plot points, and it could turn out bad. But its looking more like it'll be a fun experience. Yep. Love it.

Rock on forumites.

Um...what?  They do no such thing.  That Reaper wasn't even shooting at that room.  Those were just side effects of  the stuff it was actually shooting blowing up.

Biowares quality seems to take a dive when they aren't writing lore, monologues, or MacGuffin style plot developments.

It's just a demo! They'll fix everything! they'll patch everything in! More dialogue and better writing will be day one DLC, free for new buyers! Maybe even charge it, because I think bioware deserves all our money!

In fact, I'm looking at some of the dialogue, and I'm just chucking my money at the screen!

Just kidding.

I bet most of the people complaining about the writing are the same people who obsess over the "romance" in Bioware games, even though it's written about as well as the "romance" in Twilight. Hypocrisy, thy name is BSN.

Obsess in what way? I find the romance horribly shallow and obvious (more so in ME2), which does fit Twilight quite well.
