Lolno.

You detractors have got to stop being drama queens and using far too much hyberbole. ME2 may be different and not ME1 but by no means was it equal to the mindless dumb fun of Transformers.

That's just insulting. If any game is Transformers it's Modern Warfare 2/3.

I almost read this in your voice, and laughed.

ME1's writing wasn't much different than ME2's.

In fact I'd argue it's gotten better.

You do stand up comedy often?

Do you?

The writing is fine with Bioware. You want bad writing, go play CoD or Gears.

You want cliche after cliche...go play  Half life 2 or Starcraft 2.

As I said in another thread, it's hilarious seeing the people who complain about the writing and then show their attempts at writing a scene. Most people here have no idea what good writing is, and that goes double for the fan-fiction writers on this site.

but I will tell you that ME2 FELT DIFFERENT.

Well yes. It's not a dispute of my point. Lethal Weapon, Transformers, and the latest Star Trek all FEEL DIFFERENT. It doesn't mean they're not all action movies.

Action has breadth. ME1 took more cues from the 90s.

ME1 felt like a space opera.
ME2 felt like Tramsformers 2.

Wrong, ME 1 is a movie, ME 2 is a Soap Opera.

Thank you.

To date I have seen NO-ONE on this site write a decent SCENE let alone story. Half of them don't even understand basic writing terminology, like cliche and railroading.

So what's your verdict on Bioware writing on ME3 mister expert?

And are you seriously saying that people shouldn't judge Bioware's writing unless they're proffesionals or something?

Because you're fooling yourself.

They should be more realisitc. Insinuating that they themselves can write better and that Bioware writers are terrible is hilarious at best.

When they don't even understand basic concepts like "cliche" and "character archetypes" yes they shouldn't be talking about how the writing is. If I am not a rocket scientist I shouldn't be commenting on how the rocket should be built.

As for me, their writing has always been on the better side of the business. Is it flawless? No. Is it better than most games out their? Hell yes.

Dear God you people need to play more games if Bioware's writing is "bad". What the hell do you call 2kgames or Infinity Wards then?

" If I am not a rocket scientist I shouldn't be commenting on how the rocket should be built."

Nobody's commenting on how they should write.
Everybody's just saying it's bad.
At least Bioware knows quite well the meaning of "cliches" though.

I don't think that people need to be experts at all but they shouldn't be talking about writing when they have no idea what they're talking and the things they produce are full of cliches that are worse than what they are criticizing.

Lol yes. You dont' get to tell me what the game felt like to me.

ME2 was plot-wise, a collosal faliure. Other improvements couldnt' compensate for that.

It's even more hilarious when people throw together a quick concept as an example (that still works better than what's in the game), and you proceed to treat it like a fully-fleshed out piece of writing.

There are plenty of people commenting on how they should write and their examples of how scenes could be done "better". Also, if you are not a rocket scientist and have no idea how rockets function or how they are built, then you really shouldn't be commenting on how it should be made.

If you're going to criticize something and attempt to put something out there that would work better, then it should be good. That example in the other thread was a horrible piece of writing and did not do anything to make the scene he was complaining about any better.

Maybe some of us can. Who knows.
We sure know the writing could be better.

If the rocket fails to lift off? And I have some knowledge in that area?
Yes, yes I can.

That example was nothing more than a quick idea that requires expanding upon.
You seriously do need some perspective.

I don't need to be a writer to know if I've enjoyed a story or not.
