I'm disappointed with the quaity of writing present in the demo.

isn't the whole plot about figuring out how to work some super weapon?GirlPower23 wrote...
Let's not forget the plot sounds like it's going to be a re-iteration of Dragon Age:Origins. "You must band together the races of the universe and to win." Oh wait.. wasn't DA:O "Band together the races to defeat the DarkSpawn.."
Yes the plot is more about finding a way to actually defeat the Reapers rather than gathering allies to defeat/overpower them like DAO. If ME3 and DAO had the same plot there would have been no chance at Ostagar, regardless of Logain's betrayal, and all the Darkspawn would have needed to be unstoppable. The Warden and Archdemon thing could remain more or less the same.

Actually went to youtube to remind myself exactly and I'm not seeing/hearing the cheese?
Anderson: "Gotcha"
Shepard: Thanks, owe you one
Anderson: More than one
That is considered cheese now? Seriously, the one complaint that might be valid is that Shepard is somewhat lacking in brainpower but this is commented IN_GAME.
Notice the admiral's reaction to "we fight or we die"
Admiral: THAT'S your plan!!??!

Just because ME1 did it doesn't make it okay. There are supposed to be imporvements in each sequel, and seeing how Mass Effect 2 greatly improved your ability to make Shepard somewhat intelligent, stepping back into ME1 derpiness is absolutely ridicuolous.

yeah the plot required the entire normandy crew to be morons
and people get mad at the turian councilor, when we have submitted no proof
shep finally learns his lesson and gets a reporter on the normandy, when we least needed one.

No, in fact it should prove the opposite. Lack of proof shouldn't propt action, it should promote investigation or in this case waiting for more proof to arise.Atakuma wrote...
I'll wait and see how things turn out, but the demo made a pretty bad first impression, and since it's the only thing I have to go on, it should be easy to see why I'm a little apprehensive.

that is the situation, they are in a war that is basically "Throw every thing we have at them that can explode and hope some thing sticks"
that is the measure of the sure destructive force they are against
No attacking their supply lines, no propaganda to rally the peoples, no figure heads to take out.
it is literally fight with every thing or die

Yep sheps commentary about how the first contact war was the same as the genophage was one of the most amazing displays of moronicness in the history of moronicness.

You know what the difference is there? You chose those dialogue options, you chose to make your Shepard an idiot. Yeah, what you just spouted are dialogue options, not auto-dialogue.
My Shepard didn't choose derpy dialogue options, but now he is forced to sound like an utter fool because of this blasted auto-dialogue.

I knew the game was going to have it's fair share of cheese, but that demo contained some of the most ham-fisted dialougue I've ever seen in a bioware game. I mean it was just filled with dumb one liners and stilted conversations.
Is this what I can expect the rest of the game to be like?
What else is new?
Sky is blue, grass is green.
Mass effect has massive ammounts of cheese and narm.
It's the delivery of that narm that makes it stand out above the rest. BENEZIA IS QUEEN OF THE NARM CHARM!

Im sure graphic will be lot better. If you didnt notice there was in ME 1/2 a launcher. I mean after run game it shows screen where are Options, Start game, Support (in ME 2 with DLC info at the bottom) etc. And there was lot of stuff in Options.
I didnt like gun and biotic sound but I will in time get used to it..I think
Also dialogs was so poor beacose its demo. So its just a TEST of this what we will see in ME 3 full game.
