I have:

Nvidia GTX 465
3.5 GB RAM
AMD Athlon II X4 635
Windows 7 SP1
and plenty of hdd space.
I just updated my video drivers .
When I try to downoad it through Origin, it says my computer does not meet the requirements.

and when i download through my internet browser, it brings me to an activation screen, saying i need an activation key
what gives?

I'm in the same boat you are, and hoping someone comes up with some kind of answer. My guess is that maybe our accounts are flagged as under age to play the demo? I'm not sure how old you are, but I'm 20 so I wouldn't think that'd be a problem...

even if that's possible and even if that applied to me, you'd think they'd at least give a proper message saying something like "you are underage .. can't download this game".

Origin... smh

I agree, but I can't think of any other reason. I've went and attempted to download other games and it allows for me to download some soccer game demo - but it wont let me download that new Kingdoms of Amalur demo... This really blows...

Indeed it does.

Screw Origin.
