Chill down and trust the BioWare team. I also have some thing I don't like but they are in minority compares to all the good stuff.
The problem with this reasoning is that the BioWare team has been steadily losing the credit it had built in years past. Casey Hudsen's emphatically excited tweet about how awesome ME: Deception was is an example of this. How can a dedicated fan of the series take anything the man says at face value again?
Mass Effect 3 is rapidly becomming the "Aliens Vs Predator: Requim" of video games. The initial trailers looked good, but as more and more is revealed, the cringe factor increases exponentially. Oh, it even has the generic kid sympathy death too.
Understand when I write these posts, I don't do this to 'hate'. I do this because I LOVE the Mass Effect universe and I'm watching the things that had drawn me to it dwindle and disappear.
I've said before there are still some positives about the Demo:
- The music is very good.
- The graphics are high quality (there are major issues with frame rates, textures and character animations however)
- I never have a problem listening to Jennifer Hale
- Despite the large eyes and chiseled jaw, I like the new default FemShepard
- The helmet customizations for Shepard and Companions are good
- The difficulties seem to be relatively spaced apart in terms of actual difficulty
- The idea of "Action" "RPG" and "Story" modes so gamers can select which way they prefer to play (again, if this comes at the cost of the many, many negatives, it is not worth it)
- The new powers are interesting.
- Good to see Wrex, Liara, Garrus and Mordin again.
- Good to be killing Cerberus flunkies again<- unless you totally flipped to their side in ME2 then... sorry?
- Character lvling has been thrown back to the 'good old days'.
That's all I have for now.
