Hair down and a touch more makeup just about covers all the changes. Seems normal to me that after 2-3 years some would want to get a new hair style.

Because Ashley was always a woman underneath the try-hard tough exterior. What's wrong with her finally feeling comfortable enough in her skin to want to wear something flattering? Her suit is nowhere near as sexualized as Miranda's was, or Diana Allers ****-dress

Ashley was always comfortable in her skin. the hair is impractical as is makeup. at least they gave her matching blue pants instead of those weird white leggins that made it look like she was wearing a short skirt and go-go boots.

as to why she got that outfit? iconic look. bioware is all about iconic looks.

her armor is femshep's recolor.

so my theory is still that that outfit was going to be her in AND out of combat outfit. even her collectors edition alternate is recolor of this... thing, while everyone else gets armor recolors. but after so many fans ****ed about it, bioware realized that maybe just maybe they really need to give her some sort of armor, so Kaidan gets regular civilian outfit with armor made just for him, while Ashley gets special "civilian" outfit and recolored version of femshep armor instead of a special one.

I'm hoping that certain overinflated plasticky look to her face is just limitations of the demo. I've noticed that my Shepard looked meh in intro level, and much better on sur kesh, so its possible.

It may be strange to see her like that at first.. but I don't think she looks bad.. although I have to admit I kind of laughed at her eye brows when I first saw her.. they seem so thick

not that it matters.. this is what she looks like now.. it's not going to change..

Actually my problem with is it is that I can't make the connection between the old look and the new one. I really can't see them as the same person. The actual face seems off to me. I wouldn't mind a change in hairstyle and clothing if she was still recognizable as the same person, plus I find the new look kind of creepy. I want to actually stay away from new Ashley.

Besides, why can't they just include both looks so the player can just toggle it? There obviously are lots of people who like the old way and lots of people who like the new way.

I preferred her previous hairstyle and would have liked it if her uniform was the same colour as those worn by the other Alliance personnel, but these are trivial complaints.

I'm glad they've taken her out of her grunt clothes and dressed her like an officer, it was one thing when she was slinking around in the basement but now she's a decorated officer and maybe a spectre she'd better look the part.

I always found Ashley to be boring and ugly. Now she's just boring. Granted we'll have to see what they've done with her story-wise so maybe even the boring part will change. Played the demo last night and my friend's reaction was "Who's that?" Ashley has never gotten that reaction before. For new comers to the game that's likely a good thing.

Ashley´s horrible plastic look in the leaked beta has been scrapped. She now does look like Ashley.
But yeah, the outfit is still horrible and they made her ass worth a mention.
So sex sells. But if it would´t, we would´t have Miranda. And Jack´s belt bra.

Love the armor
Can live with the hair
Absolutely despise the outfit. She needs a real Alliance uniform

I'm still irritated I'm forced to work with her. Don't really care what she looks like, I'm probably going to kill the VS first chance I get.

I don't care so much about the look as I do the lack of professionalism on ashley's part. I won't go any further into this, as no one can seem to agree on it and no one can seem to understand the points made on both sides.

In my experience in about, oh five of these threads, it always breaks down into petty arguments even when reasonable points are made on both sides.

I hate BSN sometimes.

If by living with the hair you mean stuffing her in a helmet? Yes I can live with it.

There is so much white knighting on these forums it makes my head spin. You don't like the new appearence? That is 100% okay, that's perfect. Many people appearently don't, but the ones that actually doesn't like it is outnumbered by people that just get's outraged at sexy women in video games because it's somehow not dignifed. Come on people, sexy is okay. You guys just be happy we aren't anywhere close to soul caliber level.

Those that actually doesn't think she looks good at all for whatever reason, I am not pointing at you here.

I like it. It's not that over-sexualized as people make it out to be, just because she has make-up and long hair.
