Personally I like how she looks in the cg trailer. Played around in photoshop for a bit and came up with a mini wallpaper (I have a full size one but no where to post it atm)

Aside from the long, flowing, ebon locks on a battlefield, she looks good in the trailer.  Well the face isn't Ash, really.  Not a good or bad thing, just..."not Ash"  But I guess the "iconic look" is meant to be able to identify a character without looking too closely.

The casual outfit, well, I've made my feelings known already...

Seeing this wallpaper, I find myself kindasorta hoping we can play with squadmate outfit color and patterns like we could with Shepard's in ME2.  Oh, the fun that could be had!

I agree. The face isn't ashley, and the hair annoys me. Although I can ignore it for this trailer considering its a CGI trailer that isn't meant to represent anything directly.

I mean shep leaps toward a brute to punch it for crying out loud.

Yes.

The other 9 million people who've made threads bout this same topic.

So why has bioware not change it back! Or is there story reason.

There isn't enough Mirand-ass. So we now have Ash2tonsmakeup.

And this is a forum to discuss the game. I don't see what's wrong with this.

She looks waaaaaaaaaay better. And the CGI trailer she looked great.

I'm tired of everyone saying that its not in her character.. people change and change their minds. Sometimes they change their looks. I don't remember ash ever saying "ill never wear my hair down cause its impractical "

Get over it

I don't have to outright say "I hate baggy jeans and wouldn't be caught dead with my pants hanging beneath the seat of my boxers" for the people who know me even a little bit well to understand that buying me baggy jeans would be a really crumby birthday-present idea. At least, I hope not.
The thing about Ash is, her appearance and personality both synced up so well into a kind of "army girl" persona that doesn't mesh well with her new design. Also, as has been pointed out, flowing locks on a battlefield isn't even just a matter of changing one's look... it's a matter of not being a very good idea in the first place. The hair gets in the way, you see. And that was a problem with Miranda's design, too.
Same for heels. Heels on a battlefield are a bad idea. Running in heels at all is a bad idea. There's a reason that joke is so bloody common.

Where are those longer hairstyles for men, by the way? Oh, they don't exist.

Apparently, women are the only ones who can fight with breast-long hair. Men certainly don't look cool with long hair.

I really question this decision regarding Williams, but... to hell with it. In for a penny, in for a pound. I can't do anything about it anymore. I whined and whined, devs say... whatever they wanna say.

Alenko, on the other hand, doesn't seem to have received a Chippendale-like costume AFAIK. What's up with that?! One gender receives a sexy battle-outfit, the other doesn't? Not very PC or GF, tsk tsk.

People change, huh? They very conveniently change into new sex symbols when a previous sex symbol takes a step back because she's not in ME3's cast.

Ah, I'm sick of this crap.
