Choppy performance and terrible lip sych are a big turn off...whats worse though is that it just doesnt work.
My first attempt I reached the semi open door and could go no further(controld did nothing) and on the second try i was halted at the first obstacle as Shepard forgot how to vault.
Just kept vaulting over the cover but never actually clearing it.
So 2xgame ending bugs in 2xplays...not good at all.
The performance issues could well be my computer but the vault and door opening fails are bugs and pretty obvious ones at that.
So the demo is a huge fail for me and I certainly wont be buying the game unless some very major changes are made.

I am dissapoint :(

Yes, the demo is par for the course of being an buggy unfinished build of the game, much like the Dragon Age II demo and the Mass Effect 2 PS3 demo. It doesn't seem to be quite as disastrous as those were, though. BioWare managed to clean up ME2 PS3 for release after the demo (aside from the save game bug, which wouldn't have even been apparent in the demo) and they haven't tried any DirectX 11 effects like they did with DAII, so I'm confident that the majority of bugs will be cleaned up for the retail release.

Personally I never ran into any bug that forced me to restart the game.

Not being able to open doors or otherwise interact with the enviroment is often to do with a below spec computer not an in game bug. I tested the demo on a few set ups and found no bugs.

I'm getting

Missing textures; backgrounds (MP especially) just vanish when looked at a certain angle. In the child in the vent scene shepard was completely black apart from his eyes. In MP ladders go black when you try to climb them, and some other walls similarly go black. As does the viper in on the bench. Shadows are too strong, Peoples faces just get hidden. It's just too dark.

Constant Crashing: MP crashes often, generally at the game switch, or on pressing escape to bring up ingame HUD.

Really choppy cutscenes, gameplay however is fine.

I've tried Nvidia drivers, tried the beta drivers with SLI support for ME3 (don't have SLI on a laptop, but still, the drivers were updated for ME3 so you'd think they'd work. No change.

Alienware mx11, i7 8GB ram, Geforce m540, Win7 Home, under 1% fragmentation on HD.

Has run everything else fine (including ME2)

Which drivers did you try? Nvida often makes some drivers that don't work well for all cards sometimes going back a couple of revisions solves the problem then when the newer drivers are released you can try those.

What messages are you getting from the crash? might help establish where the fault is. What are your temps during play?

"Not being able to open doors or otherwise interact with the environment is often to do with a below spec computer not an in game bug."
I have messed about with the graphic settings and I now believe this to be the case...the interaction graphics just dont appear unless the game is paused and then the flicker briefly into existence when the game is resumed.
Sadly although I have an Nvidia card its obviously a bit to old,its a shame as my setup runs Mass effect 2 perfectly but it looks like mass effect 3 is a no go for me.
Thats not a bug though so my apologies for reporting it as such.
