Oh great, another thread about one of the following subjects:

- Bioware catering to console noobs;
- Bioware catering to loyal fanboys;
- Bioware catering to newer fans, but neglecting “old”, “loyal”, and “old school” fans;
- Bioware bowing down do to the wishes of their EA overlords;
- This game is going to be the worst Bioware game ever!!!111!!! Just look at *insert random game here*!!!!
- Dumbing down of RPG elements;
- This game does not have the things that I want;
- This game is not similar to it’s predecessor.

*EA/Bioware rationale* Why license Euphoria and have quality when you can save more money by doing a half assed job with an old engine? The fanboys will love it anyway so why bother....

Well, melee is indeed a bit clumsy, but otherwise it worked just fine for me.
First off it was a bit strange indeed, but once you get used to it, it feels natural.

DEMO

The animation (running) is the same since the first appearance of ME3 at E3, and the game is gold.
Animation is a long and complicated process, don't expect any change unless Bioware says so.

I didnt notice anything that actually bothered me, sprinting looked abit stiff but then again it has allways looked / felt abit silly in every mass effect game in my opinion, reloading pistol - well basically shep just slams a new clip and the pistol ejects the old one, I dont see any problem with that

The animations havent changed at all...that is the problem. They are not any worse then ME2 theyre just the same!
So while graphics, sound and cinematic scope get better and bigger...the animations of the characters stay the same. And because everything else around it got better it easier for us to see that werent that good to begin with.

I just watched this new long IGN video on ME3 multiplayer for PC.

Same crappy movement animations, same lack of reloading animations for anything pistol like, same horrible omnitool animations...such a shame. I was really looking forward to co-op ME3, but unless they fix all animations like they were in ME2 this game is not really worth buying.

Vote with your wallets.

Also did I understand right that if you want to choose a specific class you will have to be a certain race? If that is the case it would be really horrible.

Animation is horrible. In ME2 i can feel that i control the 180 pounds men (women), because animation
conveys it. And in this demo it's just stupid avatar that stuck in bottom of screen. It's awful.

and dozens of other people saying the same thing...

Hm, do you happen to be a Bioware employee? I'm not sure if even they would lie so blatantly and stupidly.

Do you think it would be possible for modders to insert ME2 walking and sprinting animation into ME3?

Thye don't care. They know we're too invested in the series to not get it.

But this will be my last Bioware game that's for sure.

People aren't going to buy the game over slight difference in animations? Seriously? That being said I have no problem with the animations. Especially heavy melee.

P.S.
Also you people who own 7 year old console hardware and buy games for it, there is a good reason to believe that ME3 deteriorated so much because they are trying to stuff so much stuff in it, there is no room for fluid detailed animations anymore.

I hope you are proud of yourselves for halting progress and actually degrading games for almost a decade now.

Wow, just wow.

I laughed at how bad the animations were in Lagrim. A whole new level of crap thanks to Bethesduh.

Oh **** off, your anti-Skyrim crap is annoying. Skyrim isn't perfect, and I prefer the Mass Effect series, but just shut the **** up about it already, this isn't Bethesda Social Network you ****.

lol. I don't understand why people defend companiesl iek they're on the payroll.

Mass Effect was the reason I got an Xbox. Reading previews about a new RPG set in space coming from Bioware? Which made KOTOR? I had to get that.

Mass Effect 1 was fun. So was 2 even if the story went stupid. But 3 is shaping up to be terrible. I hope I'm wrong but did DA 2 turn out to be good? No.

I don't care. I'm too excited to play the game.

The Mass Effect games have always had various issues, and I was able to look past them and still enjoy the games.

ME3 isn't being developed by the DA2 team. ME3 is being made by the same great team that created 1 & 2. Your post is invalid.

No room for fluid, detailed animations?  You're joking right?  Somehow just about every other game company in the world can do it but BW can't because of consoles?  Sorry, that's utterly idiotic.  BW is simply not good at it.  Period.  Much bigger games with more happening on screen can pull it off on consoles, especially exclusives like UC, Gears, God of War, etc.  ME3 doesn't have all that much in it at all.  Heck, that new game Kingdoms of Amalur has a ridiculous amount of powers, abilities and customization options yet somehow great animations too.  One has nothing to do with the other.
