I've tried the demo 3 times now and the4 first two times, squadmate powers would work most of the time, but not all the time. In my last playthrough the HUD locked up on me. I could not use the squademate powers at all. I couldn't even uses Shepard's powers in the HUD.  So far I've only encounted the HUD problem once. But have had problems w/ it in a 3 playthroughs.

Definitely a bug of some kind as it just happened again in a separate playthrough.

My HUD was locked up too, couldn't use powers, couldn't look around, couldn't drag power icons...
Annoying as hell and game breaking.

And the worst of it, it worked perfectly fine through anouther playthrough.

JamieCOTC, did you rebind the keys for the HUD, resetting the key binds to the defaults setting seems to work for me.

I had this bug in 2 separate playthroughs, both near the end of the 2nd mission. I was still able to finish the demo when it first happened because the difficulty was on normal. The second time it happened, I was near the end of my insanity run and I wasn't able to finish it. Very annoying.

I had this in the multiplayer. It seems that when I change the character when already in a lobby only the 2 key still works, and the powers for 1, 3, and 4 get lost. This happened several times, but never anymore after I started leaving the lobby to change the character.

It happens to me during multiplayer too. When ever I changed my character from soldier to adept, I lose almost all the quick slot powers and cannot assign any. How can you play adept if you don't have any powers in quick slot?

Yeah this just happened me too. I was playing my Drell vanguard and after that game whil in the lobby, I changed to my Human Adept.... and voilá, the game after I could only use Singularity in quick slot 1. The rest of the powers were locked in the display when holding hte Shift button.

I couldnt drag the powers to the quick slots either.

Swapped from an Engineer to an Infiltrator and got stuck in a game with zero power binds. Apparently, they don't let you drag-drop abilities or rearrange them in multiplayer. I haven't checked SP yet

Happened to me just there during a MP match.

Soon as the silver match started, the 'camera', rather than being just behind my Vanguard, was instead about 50 feet into the air for about 3 seconds.

Then the view returned to normal, but with no ability to use powers, or move. (I could turn and fire my SMG though).

After I was killed and the 1st wave was done, I was ressurrected, but the freezing persisted.

Thanks Thomas, that's great to hear.
The forces were buggy in ME2 too and led to regular crashes when clicking the forces in the top bar (instead of the ones in the bottom part of the HUD). Just in case you could copy/paste those parts, please review them too. Thanks

Weird. Have been playing SP demo off and on for a while w/ no problems then all of a sudden, wham! HUD locked up on me today. I've uninstalled the demo and reinstalled it since. Problem is still going on. Anyway, thanks, Thomas!

Yes. I switched the right-shift for HUD to right-alt for HUD.  I'll try that, but I hate right-shift for for HUD.

yup, on the maes mission. suddenly my power bar is empty, and shortcuts don't work... Used cheatengine to give myself some extra skill point, could that have any connection?

I had this problem in the demo and now in the real game, too. After some time, I can't user powers, change weapons etc. in the HUD. Keyboards shortcuts still work, but it really complicates things a lot. Is a fix in sight?

I'm having this issue myself in the full-game, during "N7: Cerberus Abductions". When I hold left Shift, the HUD opens up, but I can't click anything (no, they're not in cooldown).
