It feels a little different. Did they sorta...i don't know, merge it with the locust? Does the locust still exist?

Yes locust exists still. Tempest kicks ass and chews bubble gum in multiplayer. Use it on my engineer class and destroys everything!

My quarian engineer is favoring the mattock. I only briefly used the tempest in the single player demo, but i'm curious to try it in mp.

I haven't unlocked any weapons at all... I did get lucky though and got Drell vanguard right off the bat.

They buffed the Locust and the Tempest now. Safe to say, both are very usable guns when used with the right class setup.

Dunno I had a go with it the other day and it did amazing amounts of damage. I don't remember seeing a buff for it but it seemed especially good with whatever build I was using at the time (can't remember which unfortunately)Shinnyshin wrote...

I can honestly say I've never touched the tempest, though the same can be said for most SMG's - the thought of taking it into battle gives me the major willies

I found Tempest and Locust to both be very good on Gold when I was doing the SMG challenge. I didn't use Shuriken, but Hornet was the worst for me since I was using it as my primary damage dealer, not as a caster sidearm.
