So I played a little bit of the multiplayer and I kinda liked it. Only problem is I was playing by myself. Is there any matchmaking system that I over looked or can you only play with friends? If it is only friends then anyone want to make a new friend?

Actually I think numbers will drop off badly on the 17th, that's when Grand Theft Auto V is due out and I could see a lot of people stopping ME3MP to play this for a while. They'll be back though...

There's no matchmaking in ME3MP. It's all just "go join a lobby, or make one" kind of deal. But to some extent, I believe there is matchmaking.

Because you'll eventually end up getting in the same lobby about 10 times in row sometimes.
Especially one of the more infuriating matchmaking I've had was one of the times I went into a lobby where the host glitched out of the map on Hydra and I ended up connecting to the same ongoing game about 5 times before giving up.
I hope they improve matchmaking in ME4.
