It really does make the game hard to play especially on the harder difficulty when the framerate drops sporadically and causes you to mess up your aiming.

I really like the demo, aside from that fact.

Is there any chance things have been improved for the retail version?

I just tried the MP portion of the demo and it runs much better than the SP...

Hope this gets ironed out for the retail.. It would be nice if some devs could comment.

Yeah. The framerate is a rather serious issue, it's loads worse than the ME2 framerate.

While I didn't personally have any noticeable instances of lag, it is quite possible that the final version of the game will be more stable for those of you who are more... "sensitive" to it.

We've seen it time and time again with PS3 demos; demo releases, people cry foul about framerate issues, game releases, framerate no longer an issue.

Ususally demos are an older build and do not represent the final product. I highly doubt Bioware would let a game go to waste. ME2 for PS3 had issues but if you love the game enough you'll ignore them. Also when playing the Recking demo and several times after leaving houses the ground would just disappear. Just gotta remember it's a demo.

Bioware is the framerate representative of the final version? because this is simply UNACCEPTABLE!

The game is choppy, sometimes I see subtitles but hear no voices and the sound seems really weird for some reason, like it's muted..

Huh, I've played the demo on PC XBox, and there does not seem to be any real problems like the PS3 player are experiencing. Guess I'm about to go play it on PS3 then, to see what the fuss is.

Getting rid of the Origin overlay on the PC seemed to fix the minor lag issues I was having.

is it really worse than the me2 port? I mean, do characters lines get cut off before they finish them sometimes like in me2, hated that. I expected the bad framerate though :L

Again this is UNACCEPTABLE.

No wonder they didnt even show one tiny video from the ps3 version all this time.

And all this BS talk about "you wont see any difference" is plain and simply PATHETIC.

I cant believe the game performs so terribly and yes this is a demo, and excuse me but no, I dont expect the retail version to be any better. Even if this is an old build, it would take some serious polishing to make this perform like the 360 version...

Bioware did you even bother with the PS3 version? Did you guys even play this mess? Did you test it? This is crying form miles away that it is a PORT and a very BAD one at that!

^^ who the hell are you? Go back to your cave... If Bioware or you consider me lucky then either give me the game for free or at a very reduced price. I am not "lucky" you idiot, I pay the same amount of money as you do. So stfu and go back to your cave.

So Bioware starts deleting threads mentionig the framerate issue?

From that, you can probably understand where this is going guys... the final version aint gonna be any better.

Thanks for the lies Bioware, now try and cover this mess up until the release. Then when cash starts flowing, everything will be fine. I wont be buying this game. I expect quality and what I see is simply below standards.

Edit:

@Forsaken, no my friend this is not a "console" issue. It is not as if ME3 is the prettiest console game out there. Not even close enough. there are tons of games that not only look better than it, they perform flawlessly as well. It is just a very bad coding port job mess, lack of skill from the dev team or whatever. The PS3 got shafted and we are treated as second rate customers. Plain and simply. Unless there is official word about what kind of state the final version build is at. But I am not optimistic. As I said they are deleting threads mentioning the framerate issues for PS3.

Yep from general discussion. I made a thread asking them whether they actually bothered with the PS3 version at all and Chris responded with the... "cathcy" line : "thanks for your opinion... LOCKDOWN -enter "cool emoticon-"

Yep. Thanks Bioware. Really, no difference whatsoever between versions...

No wonder we never saw not even a 2 second clip from the PS3 version... yeah...awesome....

The framerate was atrocious.

But again, I heard they cut a lot of stuff from the demo. The game creates cutscenes on real time, while loading the next area. Maybe it just wasn't optimized for the demo?

I'd love to hear a word from Bioware to make us at ease.
