Um....That's for the PC version. There is no confirmation of a day one patch for the PS3.

I realize that its a PC patch, but my point is that if they're doing one for PC, its not far out of the realm of possibiity that they'll do one for PS3.MegaSovereign wrote...

Plus if they were working on patch, they would have flat out said so in order to save potential sales.

I've been playing through ME2 on the PS3 again and the cut off conversations just drive me crazy.. I hadn't even thought about this being an issue on ME3 until now..
I'm curious... if there is a lip syncing problem in ME3 and they patch it will that just equal cut off conversations? Honestly.. I'd rather have some lip syncing issues then audio issues.. *sigh*
I sure as hell hope they actually are looking into fixing any of these issues.. we all deserve the same experience as everyone playing on 360 or PC seeing as how we're all paying the same price..

There's no conformation for the PC day one patch either(just checked the pc and general discussion side).
Pmac may be on to something here. LOL, it's possible!

Yeah. If they're making a day 1 patch for PC, its possible they're doing one for 360 and PS3 as well.Sr.Prize wrote...

Yeah, my point was that I didn't know about this patch until you showed me that website, there hasn't been any announcement on the forum about a pc patch from any of the developers. So just because there hasn't been an announcement doesn't necessarily mean that one isn't coming.

I am from Europe, and ME will be out the 9th here, so I will wait for Digital Foundry face-off before opening the game.

My platform of choice is the PS3, since my PC is getting too old to run the latest games at good graphics settings. Having jumped the gun a bit and played the ME3 demo, I'm also concerned about the steep framerate dips during the intro cinematic, which are jarring and remove players from the immersiveness of the experience. The same goes for lipsyncing, which I thought was flawless in the original Mass Effect!
I've seen staff posts that BioWare are "aware of the issue" and are "looking into it", but none of us posting here have any idea what that means. Is the demo just a quick port from the 360 version without optimisations? Are they planning a patch to improve performance? Is that even possible given that the game will be released in the next week, and IGN have already mentioned that the same problems exist in their review build?
I'm trying to give BioWare the benefit of the doubt, but it's hard when they haven't released any specifics about the problem they're apparently addressing. It leaves us, loyal fans and customers, with nowhere to go but come up with conspiracy theories about "They just want to protect their sales" and "They only care about 360", which seem more and more true the less we hear from BioWare staff.
I'm just asking for a little transparency.

Many people seem to forget about this issue and how Bioware handled it and are just getting their hopes up that ME3 will be 'SMOOTH' LOL. All I'm gonna say is don't get your hopes up too high or you might be disappointed. Already reviews are mentioning the framerate problems on PS3 and remember IGN didn't mention out of sync audio in their review of ME2 PS3 gamers found out by themselves.

Cancel pre-orders and wait for reviews and feedback before buying the game. That will kill their first day sales on PS3 and force them to realize that they can't just ignore away the problems with a poorly optimized port. It will also prevent you all from reliving Skyrim.

And we already have IGN confirming us about these issues. They exist, but they also say that these issues are minor compared to the overall spectacular presentation of the game.

Believe me, the biggest issue with the demo is EA and they're god damned useless servers. If i essentually get two fingers from another help and support guy in EA, then by god am I never buying another EA product.

Not true, since IGN's review in progress (PS3 version) says that the framerate issues are still there.andomguy666uk wrote...
To everyone complaining - bear in mind that when it comes to a demo, it is just a demo. The actual graphics will look better, and frame rates will be improved. The reason they're not as good as they could be is because they made the demo version identicle to the 360 version, which has a 2gb limit on a demo's size if my memory serves.
