^^ I think this is -in part- irrelevant with the general poor framerate of the game. I mean this is clearly some sort of huge bug/error that creates this mess here. The game normally doesnt perform as attrocious as what this video shows, but in general the framerate is very bad at times. 15-20 fps in a lot of places and of course the cutscenes are simply impossible to watch, especially the ones with heavy action involved where the framerate goes below 10 frames per second. It is unbelievable really, especially when it comes from such a big and respected company as Bioware. :(

In the conversation posted by xHezz90 the part of "When/IF we have an answer" doesen't give hope.
I mean, IF we have an answer???, Seriously???. So we should just wait here with this really poorly made port and just hope bioware someday decides to give us an answer?????.

Bioware, if you are reading this (as you say you are) let me remind you this is not a free to play game, it's a product we all payed for and that doesent meet a level of quality one would expect, a level of quality you promised :
http://www.computera...e-says-bioware/
I see a difference and I see a clear overall drop in quality.
As it is something we payed for and doesen't meet the quality you said it would have, the answer you give us shouldn't be "if we have an answer we will let you know"

Btw. Do they even test these games on the different platforms?

Same for me, I didn't actually have any issue before this, but here it is ridiculous.  The part witht he Yahg and flame...I am not even doing anything, just looking at the flame and the game is stuttering, trying to biotic charge as  Vanguard is more like teleportation.

I know exactly what you mean. I played did this mission last night and it was nigh unplayable. I've also noticed some horrible texture painting, as in some characters/items will appear "fuzzy" with no detailing in one frame and then a second or 2 later will load and they will appear in their detailed state. No way this can be my ps3, I just bought the thing a month ago to replace my old one. So annoying.

Framerate is indeed very poor. I barely remember anything from the entire earth starter sequence since I was so distracted by the ridiculous FPS. It couldn't have been 20fps, looked more like it was jumping 10-15 fps. It does the same thing in the rest of the game too; cutscenes and battles are horrible.

This game needs a patch to fix optimisation issues.

i just don't understand how is this game getting all those excellent reviews on ps3 ????? its unbelievable , it is like bioware bought all the gaming websites or something , why on earth the fps problem isn't affecting those great final scores?? why no review mentioned how atrocious the fps is ??? this matter should go on the news .

I don't understand it either.
As a reviewer I would have given the Ps3 a lower score because these issues DO interfere with the gameplay and the enjoyment of the story.

But it seems that most of them just played the Xbox version and asumed every other versio would be the same.

^^ Which is already ridiculous this gen... I mean for almost everyone to play the 360 version when the install base between the 2 systems is pretty much the same... (worldwide)

And yes the problems interfere with the gameplay in a big way, especially in higher difficulties as I said. We are now what, 26 pages and we still dont know if it will ever be fixed. :(

^^ If it would fix all these issues, then by all means, I agree and I approve!

When a game has adverts plastered over a website making that website money...are they really going to risk the adverts being pulled by giving a low game score?  Not to mention the risk of said publisher not giving exclusive news (and again adverts) for forthcoming games, which brings in readers and relates back to advert money because more readers = more money for adverts.

Massive conflict of interest in gaming reviews.

Yep, a few people have mentioned it on this thread. Though I am not sure what page.

I've read at least one poster from a page or two ago in this thread saying that the digital version's not without the same fps issues.

Then it appears it is not an install issue, and only a patch optimising parts of the code can fix this. Which I really hope to happen.

Did the DLC mission last night, no fps drop in combat, but horribly awkward pausing and loading before every cgi movie sequence and pausing before and during several voice overs while walking around. Plus, after the mission and talking to the prothy, I went to the galaxy map and the game crashed, froze my ps3 requiring a hard restart. This is unacceptable. This ps3 is a month old. This. Should. Not. Be. Happening.

Its bad enough with all of EA's products pausing and stuttering online (Fifa, BF3, ME3 mp) but single player too? Do you guys at Bioware just simply not care or is it mandated to release PS3 ports as bug ridden as possible?

I just received my copy and I've been reading all these posts after the game release. I want Bioware to know that not even the love I feel for the franchise will make me play it the way it is today.
I hope they can address those issues asap, and for god's sake Bioware, just tell us something, just tell us if you are working on a patch or not!?
It's not asking much, is it?

Bioware please explain this. The differences in performance and loading are huge. I dont know what needs to be done, install, rewriting parts of the code, optimizing, all i know is this proves that your promises of console parity are not met. PS3 users are really the ones getting a poor version of this game and it isnt fair.

Please fix this, for the 100th time we need you to come out and do what must be done.

COME ON BIOWARE, STOP IGNORING US!!!!!

http://www.eurogamer...fect-3-face-off

This is the worst piece of **** port I've ever seen on Ps3
Skyrim at least gave us 30-40 hours intil it started running badly and bethesda showed interest in fixing the issue.
Your port runs horribly from the first minute to the last cutscene, and in stead of trying to fix the issue you are ignoring us.

I'm sorry, I'm tired of asking nicely.

i don't trust DF. MY PS3 mass effect 3 retail version with patch 1.02 instaled run as smooth as high end pc's. MY ps3 is more powerful than xbox 360 and standart ps3 consoles.
i love my ps3

I have noticed frame rate hiccups in cut scenes. Not good enough Bioware. Please address this. I could put up with a bit of screen tearing as long as the framerate is smooth.

I keep checking here, hoping if anyone at Bioware has anything to say about PS3's bad framerate, horrible laggy cutscenes, etc. I guess no one cares over there anymore?

All this sort of reminds me how I used to own a gaming PC which got same issues but that was sort of due to the fact that my graphics card was rather outdated to meet the new recommended specs. I never thought I'd have this problem on a console.

And no, apparently Bioware isn't even fixing it. They are "acknowledging it", "looking into it" and "investigating it" which pretty much means "yeah, we checked the boards but we have more fun playing the game with Kinect now, so shush."
