I find it funny that the frame rate (for me anyway) is perfect during anything, even with lots of stuff going on in the background and then simple cut-scenes talking to people are really laggy.
most probably you are not as sensitive to framerate drops as the rest of us. There are no magical copies, or super strong PS3's out there. And the framerate is not caused because of some bug, so there is no other explanation. I am not saying I dont believe you, or that I dont respect you, it is just that the numbers dont lie. Every single framerate analysis out there comparing ps3 and 360 versions is reaching the same concesus. The PS3 version has a choppy framerate.

But look how some people have no issues with freezing on Citadel when transferring to different parts of it. My framerate there is no worse than in any other part of the game. It's not great, but no worse. I also didn't have any problems with any importing, saving or loading game.Valkyre4 wrote...

we are talking anout the game running at 15 frames and even less. If some of you guys dont notice that or you are calling it minor fps drop then ok, but thats a minor fps drop according to your preferences. In the real world this translates to a 50% performance drop compared to the 360 version. So it can be indeed minor for you, but it is major in reality. And companies shouldnt hear us say that 15 fps are considered a minor issue or else their next game is going to run at 10 fps and we are going to be happy about it.
Games should run at a minimum standar which is rock solid 30 frames per second.

most of the time multiplayer has awful framerate. after 5th wave you literally move at a snails pace until computer kills you. then if your lucky your returned to the menu otherwise the game freezes.
I've never had anything like that happen to me. The MP is silky smooth compared to some parts in SP.

Totally true. this is a really big issue, though it's being ignored by Bioware and I can't understand why.

But he has a point.
In my case the gameplay isn't that bad. It can get slow framerate but only when there is a lot of stuff going on.
But I 've had cases where the gameplay is full of enemies and stuff and the game runs at 25-20 fps, then they show me a ctuscene of a conversation and it goes down to 15-10fps

We were told that the framerate was going to be the same across all platforms. So far, we don't have that. Choppy framerate should be unacceptable in this era of gaming.

do the people with framerate problems have a slim or old fat ps3? I have a slim, but I haven't even played the game yet because i'm waiting for a patch, I don't want the experience ruined by ****ty performance.
I'm playing the digital version on a 250gb Slim Ps3.
As I said, the gameplay isn't that bad. But every single cutscene looks horrible.

Then I knew I was going to play ME3 on ps3 so I got ME2 for ps3, and the framerate and even graphics overall just were disappinting, by the time I got to ME3 I was used to bad frame rates ruining certain scenes.
Just remember that the PS3 is a computer from 2006, go get your computer from 2006 without having made any upgrades to it and its probably worse than ps3 performance for ME3

Yeah, this was really unfortunate, playing ME2 on PC, watching awesome, beautiful cut scenes(I especailly loved the illusive man's hangout) was a really enjoyable part of the game .

Hardware isn't the issue. This game is smooth on the 360 which is just as old as the ps3. Plus, many other games with better graphics run silky smooth on the ps3. Ps3 is capable of a lot more than this.

I didn't say I didn't get any frame rate though, cut scenes were a disaster. I just got none-very little in game.

PS3 hardware is not obviously the problem. It's totally a different concept from a PC, with a console developers know what they can count of. The PC vary its components from user to user. Bioware knows exactly what's inside a PS3, there's no excuse, as mentioned many times before in this thread!
And I found it very funny how some people say that they don't have any issues on their PS3. Simply hilarious.
We aren't here to discuss if the fps issue exists, we are here because it exists, and we are asking Bioware to solve the problem.

Again the PS3 has much much much more beautiful and demanding games out there than ME3 and there is NO excuse for hardware limitations and such BS. And if Bioware believes the PS3 hardware is not up to their game, then the proper action is to never release and develop this game for the PS3. Not to try and force a choppy version to earn more sales, downgrading the quality and experience, while claiming we wont see a difference between consoles.
PS: I would really like and I am not being sarcastic here, for those people who claim to have no framerate problems to post a youtube video of the Citadel presidium commons AFTER the actual Citadel mission. Go to the Presidium Commons and navigate around by panning the camera. I would really love to see your performance there, because in my system (and almost everyone else's) the game runs at 15-20 frames per second and even less. So if by some chance your game runs better, I would really like to see it.
My system is a slim PS3 with a 60GB SSD in it.

I would actually do this for you, but 1: I have nothing to record it with and 2: I haven't even looked at ME3 since I finished it.
Also a lot of you guys might be getting the wrong idea from me lately, I do still get frame-rate it's just not as bad for me as it is for some others I have seen vids of, my frame rate is always terrible in cut scenes.
and I still desperately want them to fix it!

Believe me my friend it would be really really optimistic to see that some people have no framerate issues. Why? Because that indicates a bug somewhere. So maybe it will be fixed for all of us. But I really dont see that happening because 9 out of 10 people report bad framerate in certain parts of the game ( for example
SPOILERS START

The last part with the reaper on Mordin mission on Tutchanka

is clear evidence) and almost everyone reports very bad framerate during cutscenes. Some times cutscenes really look like slideshows.
Again if someone without the afforementioned issues can make a video it would be really helpfull.

Yeah the mission on tuchanka was really bad for me, I mentioned it here a while back.
