Look guys:

http://blog.bioware.com/

Of course, no mention of any kind of fix for the Ps3 framerate issues.

Bioware, you are a joke

A Bioware employee PM'ed me that the devs ARE working on a PS3 stability solution (although he's not involved himself). No specifics though. It would be suprising if the framerate wasn't addressed as it is by far the number one issue on the forums.

why not post the content of the pm on here?

I was asked not to and it also didn't give any more detail than I related here.

Yeah, when the option is "buy BioWareEA game on Day One, have it not work properly for 2 months" or "just wait 2 months and buy it for $20 cheaper in a way that doesn't give any money to BioWareEA", it's baffling to me that they don't understand why people buy games used.

I don't like giving money to Gamestop, but at least if I buy a used game there I can take it back if it's still unpatched/unplayable/unfun.

Sadly, this seems like a very reasonable option. Bioware, it shouldn't be like this! :crying:

Today I got an email reply to my first EA Support contact I had 4 weeks ago. Just to make it clear, I've been contacting EA support on a weekly basis, asking for feedback of this issue and I was always told I would be contacted "within this week" or "soon".

I'll quote you the email:

"You recently asked for assistance on a case, but we haven't heard from you in a while.

If you still need our help, please login and review the details of case XXXXXXX..

We want you to get the most out of your EA games, so don't hesitate to contact us. If you decide not to respond, your case will automatically close in four days."

So is this a new tactic? Just finish talking to the customer, get him away, if he contacts again simply write he will be contacted "soon" and then close the case even if he constantly asks about it? I am waiting for a reply FROM YOU! There's no need to tell me, that I have not contacted you, when it is YOU that should be contacting ME with an Update on the situation!

God damn it Bioware/EA! Why are you making things so complicated when we just want to play the game.

I'd go for incomepetence rather than using it as a tactic ;)

I'm boycotting Bioware until the Ps3 version is fixed. Knowing Bioware's history for fixing games on the PS3, I'll never buy another Bioware product again.

If EA knows it is going to lose PS3 sales next time around, we might, just might, get a fix...

I paid 80 of my hard earned dollars for one of my most anticipated games of the years and I can't play it. I'm pissed. I'll post in as many threads as I feel like. <_<

The sad truth is that BioWareEA know, like every other game company knows, that everyone who says "I'm never buying Mass Effect 4" is going to end up buying it anyway.

Probably, but they are going to buy it used, or borrow it, or rent it, or watch it on youtube, or group buy it with all their friends, or wait for all the patches to come out, or actually stick to their guns and not buy it because they have learned how to leave this abusive relationship.

Just buy used and play offline only so EA doesn't get a cent. I pre-ordered the CE and bought a model Normandy, the art book, CE hint book etc just because I wanted to support Bioware for making this game. I would not have done so had I known the quality of game that they'd released...

If I do buy a Bioware game again it'll be used, months after release. I don't need a game so bad that I'm willing to just throw hard earned money on every title a company makes. Times are tough. After getting burned on Skyrim and Star Wars: The Old Republic, to name a few games that have fallen short lately, I'm going to be much more cautious with what games I buy. In order for me to buy even a used copy of a Bioware game now it's going to have to be Game of the Year quality. Otherwise, I don't need/care.

Bioware needs to learn from 38 Studios/Big Huge Games on how to treat their cutomers.

FFFFFFFUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUU!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Definitely not liking this Derek Larke bloke in the slightest; particularly after his comments about the endings and "some" fans.

Can't believe there are so many posts now... And it still isn't fixed.

Normally game breaking issues get a bit more acknowledgement / attention.

Hope resurgent free mp DLC gets ppl playing again. I also hope they fix issues b4 it's release. I stopped playing because of the fps and freezing. Just disappointed all around... Arrival DLC on disk... Repetitive and glitchy mp... Bugged missions... Ps3 also wins crappiest performance award for any of the platforms.. CBF to go on listing issues. If they dint know about them by now.. Fix this crap FFS.

But it's a MUCH better game. At least Reckoning works on the PS3 a. And it works really well. In fact, for a new IP from a new developer it runs 1000x better than Mass Effect 3 on ALL platforms. I don't see this as an EA issue, I see this as a Bioware issue. Bioware is the one that failed to properly program Mass Effect 3 for PS3. Also 38S/BHG communicates with its fans. Curt Shilling and other devs regurlarly reply on their forums. Bioware needs to learn from 38S/BHG on how to treat their customers.

Ironically Amalur has the same type of issues eventually manifest the way they do with Skyrim, for some. So your claim of 1000x better isn't accurate, same for ME3 itself.

I've logged over 250 hours playing Reckoning and have not encountered a single game breaking bug. I know others have encounted quest bugs and I know some are severe but they are quest bugs and NOT general performance bugs like Mass Effect 3 or Skyrim. Reckoning DOES NOT make my PS3 overheat or make noises like Mass Effect 3. In fact, NO OTHER GAME on my PS3 makes noises like Mass Effect 3. As far as actually performace of the game engine Reckoning DOES run MUCH smoother than Mass Effect 3. Also, I regularly clean my PS3 and it's in a well ventilated area, so that's not the problem.

KoA played 100% fine for me. Never had fps issues or a freeze. Not once. Skyrim had issues, but they are fixed now (mostly). I don't blame this guy for trading it in for a fully polished well playing game. I would too if I could. Heck, at least bethesda acknowledged the issues even tho they took awhile to fix.

I agree. At least Bethesda did acknowledge there was a problem even if it did take a while to fix. I was very upset with Bethesda at first but they communicated with their fans and actually fixed most of the problems. I don't see this happening from Bioware. I, also, have no problem with waiting for problems to be fixed IF Bioware acknowledges that there are problems and say they're working on them. I understand that things like this take time to fix and go through the proper channels. I just want to know that it's being worked on and not get some vague half arsed reply. Until then Bioware has lost me as a customer.

Yeah, communication is not their strong point. They seem to be scared that if they say something we'll try to hold them to it or something... because we totally would!

But seriously, it is a little hard to keep the faith when you get 'we are working on PS3 stability' and you are not sure what to take from that, given the many and varied problems that could all fall under the banner of PS3 stability...
