in all honesty i have the full retail release on ps3 an found that if you play without signing into ea, i believe there is a option to disable auto sign into ea, an you turn the auto save off, an only save manually the frame rate problems cut down allot!!! an in my opinion mass effect 3 runs so much more smoother over all on ps3 then mass effect 2 did, i think bioware has done a great job on ps3, considering the fact that mass effect is running on the unreal engine which is basically made for the xbox 360 an pc, an everyone knows that the unreal engine just does not work well with the unique ps3 architecture, but ven though this is the case bioware has done an amazing job with me3 on ps3, so people should cut them some slack, after all it was primarily a xbox an pc game, an me1 i own an played on my 360, an then me2 i own an played on ps3 an pc, but me3 i got on ps3 since i love my blue ray games an movies to collect, they just refuse to scratch an stutter like th e360 an pc dvd disks, its why i love to collect my fave games on ps3!!
Just some advice: if you want people to read your post, use appropriate spacing.
"considering that me3 runs on the unreal engine"
Have you played Arkham City? That game runs on the unreal engine and it doesn't have any framerate issues. In my experiences, ME2 ran better that 3. Plus, I didn't have to worry about it freezing my console.
"people should cut them some slack"
Why? They didn't cut us any slack. We paid the same price as the xbox and PCers. However, we didn't get anywhere near the same level of quality. If they couldn't optimize it for the ps3, they shouldn't have released it on the ps3. On top of that, the customer service has been nonexistent. So why should we cut them some slack?

Here it is
"I can say that this is not planned to be the final patch and issues not
fixed in 1.03 (story issues, PS3 framerate, EMS, etc) are being
investigated for the next patch. As with any bug, if it is not fixed,
that is likely because it is not an easy fix. That doesn't mean that it
won't ever be fixed, just that it was not ready by the time this patch
was complete."

[/no need to use spacing if you cant read it dont read it, period, an with the arkham city on unreal engine, look at the two games, they are like to different sides of the scale, an arkham city was good on both platforms, but that means nothing, its all down to the developer, an when you compare mass effect 2 to 3 for me mass effect 3 performed over all much better, granted i did have to take the steps i out lined in my post, like not sighning into ea, an auto saves off.
its the same with skyrim, i had to take the same steps with that game too, or else it would drop frames like mad! but even with skyrim the fanboys cried like babies and rightly so, but regardless allot of them forget that skyrim overall performed much better on ps3 then oblivion ever did which was a stuttering mess for me! so the developer has made improvements which is exaclty what i look for in a sequel, but i understand the frustration ps3 players endure, when it comes to third party developers who allways give us ps3 gamers half assed ports, while the same game works flawlessly on 360, but that just how it is this generation, get used to it people, dont like it dont buy the game!! simple or trade the damn thing!! its with exclusives where the ps3 shines!! an boy does it out shine the 360!! may be its because i own all platforms, an but all consoles, an have a powerfull pc to boot, so kinda see why a single platform gamer would get frustrated with half assed ports but as i said compare mass effect 2 to 3 on ps3, an for me, anyways not sure about every body else, it performed mucgh better then me2!!!
an everybody with a single braincell knows that when the unreal engine was made it was specifically ceated with the unified architecture in mind, like the 360 an pc, hell when microsoft was developing the 360 console they even asked epic what kind of setup an hardware they would recommend for the next generation cponsoles to make it as easy as possible for the developers, unreal engine= xbox 360 an pc, FACT!! granted if the developer making the game an is using unreal takes the time to optimise the game for the specific consoles which ps3 has the complete opposite in architecture to the 360, then yes 3rd part games would be more even, but the fact is they wont, an have not for the most of this generation, its why the under powered 360 wins in 3rd party face offs, but the ps3 destroys it in exclusives!! either way mass effect 3 is a great game on ps3, an people need to stop being cry babies in forums an grow up, just trade the damn thing if your not happy or work harder an buy all platforms an then you will be able to buy the superior version simple!! just half the amount of effort you people use to troll an complain in forums into getting all platforms an you will be fine!! sheesh
are you happy with the spacing an parragraphing??? jesus ur making me feel like a school boy again, who even cares about grammar an punctuaution when your just fast typing, LOLLOL get over it, or dont read simple!!!:alien::devil::devil::devil::(:(:(:happy::happy: lol

I didn't read that last post. Spacing was off - probably nothing of note.
I can't believe he expects me to read that crap
Anyway, nobody here is crying. This is the ps3 technical support section of the forums. We are simply stating the technical issues with this game.
We are upset because our issues haven't been addressed as of yet. Sure, ME3 is a great game but it has a ton of bugs that needs to be fixed. If you don't like people discussing TECHINCAL ISSUES then don't visit TECHINCAL SUPPORT section

Although quite recently Chris (in patch note) stated that PS3 framerate is being investigated for the next patch, I doubt it will be solved in near future. Apart from framerate, the freezing should be adressed first.

Writing you from Mother Russia!
I was always big fan of bioware games, since Baldur's Gate. There's hole cult of baldur's gate in Russia, you know...
And bioware games always has great quality, not in graphics but perfomance. And everything was great, while I used my PC for gaming. But I hate play games with PC, so I bought PS3, just because exclusives, and it was great! I Sold my crappy coffin looking PC and bought lightweight laptop for job.
I'm very satisfied with PS3, but BioWare - WHY... WHY you hate me so much? Starting with Dragon Age: Origins (great localisation, by the way) and finishing with ME3, bad perfomance of your game trying to ****** me off! There's only one positive thing - I became very calm and patient...
I'm reading this thread since when it started, and you reaction, BioWare... There is no reaction!! Please! Let me play my game! In Russia it is very expencive, you know? Basic version of ME3 costs 2700 RUB ($81)...
Please make someting!!!
Sorry for crappy gramatics

I bought PS3, just because I like to start game with pushing one button. I don't whant to installing new drivers for each game, don't whant to upgrade my PC every half of the year! But there is one disadvantage - I have no choise, then it comes to game stability, graphics (exlude Battlefield 3) and framerate!
I hope that extended cut delays for PS3 because of improving game stability! Because it possible to make good quality multiplatform games. I even will be gratefull if BioWare will make poor graphics but make good framerate..
Sorry again for my crappy gramatics)

Tomorrow we on PS3 get the Extended Cut so if we won't get a frame-rate improvement in the package we won't ever get it.
well in North America on PS3 we got it day 1, and let me pop your bubble for you, there's no frame-rate fix... if anything it will come out in a future patch. Though I only experience framerate issues at certain spots in the game, most noteably Mars or the Piority Citadel mission, other than that the game runs flawlessly for me.

Pal you are not loosing anything.
The horrendous endings destroy this game so much that really frame-rate is not the reason why you will be disappointed while playing.

It is astounding that in 2012 towards the end of the console lifecycle that Bioware has allowed this to happen when almost every other game release from other studios demonstrate near platform parity.
TBH, I think Bioware had their "rabbit in headlight" moment due to the outcry of the botched ending hastily forcing resources to be directed on producing the extended cut DLC. I assume that is why we are not seeing anything positive being done for us ME fans on the PS3.
