Thank you for the response. But I am confused. Does that mean you were not aware of this big issue before this thread mentioned it? I ask because, really it is very hard not to notice... and if you did not know it, then it kinda means that you never checked the ps3 demo properly.

Also, does that mean that this issue is present at the final version gone gold recently? Or is this only a demo thing?

In any case I want you to know it doesnt spark PS3 users a lot of confidence to hear that such a big issue was not detected by Bioware.

I would really love to hear more on the matter Chris, and again thank you for the response, but I am sure you understand that a lot of PS3 users are now skeptical and for a good reason.

I personally have not experienced a lot of slowdowns, and some people haven't experienced slowdowns at all, which indicates it might not be a problem with everyone playing, hence, when they playtested the demo inhouse, they could have not run into the issue. Therefore, making  them now aware of the issue.

The frame-rate drops so evidently that clearly could not have been "missed " by BioWare QA so the issue either manifest only in the demo (probably because it's a just a partial code) or BioWare was not able to fix it and now doesn't  want to expose it, revealing that the issue will indeed be in the final game at release, since the less the public knows about it the higher the PS3 sales will be: this strategy worked for Skyrim...sadly.
Now, I trust BioWare and believe that it is just the demo BUT still I have to admit that taking so long to say few reassuring words is not doing good at all.

EDIT
I want to bring to your attention this very true statement form a very smart guy named JoeGBallad...it's not one of my alias I assure you.

"Despite a number of different SKUs, every ps3 is basically the same. The whole point of consoles is that they're a standard box that works for everyone. If they knew memory was going to be an issue, then it stands to reason that it'd be a potential issue for EVERY ps3, not just a small percentage."

Taking so long, you mean, taking a couple of days? compared to Bethesda's months long silence?

Taking 2 days to say "We BioWare want to assure PS3 owners that the frame-rate issues experienced in the demo won't be present in the final version of ME3" is indeed a long time!
It took me less than a minute to write it!

Thank you for replying to us. I'm sure we all (bar maybe a few) appreciate it.

One last thing I would like to know, does this mean that it is in the Main game or is this JUST a demo thing?

Thank you again for the response.

So anything new on the matter Chris? We really need to know how the ps3 version is going to turn out. We dont want another Skyrim...

Please confirm whether the final version is having these issues and if yes what will be Bioware's action.

I think we should give them time to look at the issue and work on it. Also they have to see if there is a issue in the final build at all and test it, stuff like this take's abit of time also the development team I think is taking a break after working crazy hours for the last push to get the game out so I don't think they would have worked on the weekend but I could be wrong lol. :)

Ι agree with you, but really I cant understand how it is possible for this issue to slip by them? I mean all you have to do is play the game. You can see the framerate is all over the place, you really cant miss it. It really makes you wonder and at the same time worry...

I agree they probably didn't work on a weekend, especially since the game has gone gold. Maybe they didn't miss it though...the final game would have went through a lot more QA than a demo I assume, so maybe the final product is fine. I don't know, we're just going to have to be patient and hope to the maker (hehe) that BioWare are NOT taking a route down Bethesda lane.

^^ You know what really sucks and why I am so "desperate" to hear from Bioware on this matter?

The fact that my 2 most anticipated games where Skyrim and Mass Effect 3. In both cases the creators Bethesda and Bioware, promised that the PS3 version will be exactly the same as the 360 one performance wise and in terms of graphics.

Skyrim for the PS3 was a royal MESS of epic proportions. The way bethesda lied and treated PS3 customers is -at least to me- the worst I have seen in this business. The fact that they won Developer of the Year award makes this even more pathetic...

So ok Skyrim was crap. Now comes my second most anticipated game mass Effect 3. And Bioware said that the 2 versions are exactly the same. And I play the demo and well... there is a huge difference in terms of performance.

That is not gdamn fair man... not fair at all. Why should we always be the ones worrying about how the game is going to perform? We pay the same amount of money and we are always the ones living in the dark. No presentations, not even pictures of our version, nothing, absolutely nothing to even make us feel that they considerate us.

At least Bioware is more communicative than Bethesda. And I really do hope we hear some good news, because -like I said- it is just not fair.

I do agree with a lot of what you just said, but I partially think that maybe as a whole we are kind of over-reacting BECAUSE of Skyrim, that mess seems to have made PS3 users (and I'm including myself here) more paranoid and frankly scared that other Devs are going down the same road. I agree that it's unfair to PS3 users and to PC users for that matter that the only advertisements are ever for xbox, and game play videos/trailers are also on xbox, your right it's damned unfair, but I personally can over look the advertising if they deliver what they promise. Bioware are most definitely more communicative than Bethesda, I was one of many on the BethForums during the Skyrim debacle. I also personally have a lot more faith that Bioware will indeed either fix whatever is wrong or that they will come back and tell us the game itself is not like the demo. Either way we have to have patience and faith that they will do so. I mean I think if they don't get back to us and the game comes out with massive frame-rate issues that this will indeed become the Bethesda mess all over again, only it would be the Bioware mess instead.

^^ Ι agree completely that all this has turned us a bit paranoid. But you know, when I played the demo, I said "oh God...not again..."

And I was in Bethforums as well lol :)

But yes, I have more faith in Bioware, that is for sure, and certainly I wont mind if the game is never advertised/shown on PS3 as long as the game is performing just as well on my system of choice. Lets see how this is going to turn out. I am optimistic, but cautiously optimistic nonetheless. :)

I'm waiting for the inevitable Digital Foundry comparison of the Demo vs Retail...and I too am cautiously optimistic that it will be somewhat improved...although I'm doubting platform parity with the 360 version.

@Valkyre4 Yep I said the exact same thing. I almost had a heart attack I think. It is just too soon after Skyrim to have it happen again for a lot of us lol.

Yep I think we are all cautiously optimistic to be perfectly honest with you guys lol.

I hope to be on here with a big YAY in the near future for the game, not a stomach clenching NOOOOO haha :)
