When I start up the demo, it's writing "Mass Effect server is unavailable at this time" I have the same problem with all origin games. But in steam I have no problems. Maybe someone can tell me, how to deal with this problem? Couse mainly I want to play multiplayer part of the game (after I've read leaked script of the game:crying:)

Same issue here with the ME3 demo and the Kingdoms of Amalur demo. Running Win7 64bit; no problems running SWTOR or any other games.

To clarify I can play the game but I cannot login to the EA online servers from within the ME3 demo or the KoA demo.

Well if you don't have BF3 pass you can't connect to Multiplayer of ME3 before the 17th of this month so maybe it's normal though i have to admit that with other titles like KoA i cannot connect too to EA servers, hope this will not be the case with ME3.

Did you use the code inside BF3 called Online Access or something like that? That's what gave early ME3 multiplayer access as well.

Yep, Mass Effect 3 Demo and KoA Demo aren't working, all other games I have, are from Steam, and all of them aren't from EA, and they are working, so I'm completely confused about situation. I've turned off firewall, restarted router, uninstalled all games and programs I don't use, and nothing helped me. Just don't know what to do.
As far as I know, game must connect to server even if I don't have early access to multiplayer part of the demo.

the ME3 demo works fine in offline mode (both origin and ME3 demo inside)
you only need to be online in origin and signed into you origin account in ME3 for the MP section. I don't have a clue about KoA, I played it on Steam.

The real issue here is that there is Reckoning swag on the table when I finish the ME3 demo. No connection to EA = no swag.

Are you running a software firewall on your machine or connecting from a corporate network?
It sounds like your connection is never making it to our servers.
Most routers do not block outbound traffic so it's more likely to be software or a corporate firewall.
Note: Please do not turn off your firewall as this is a potential security risk. With some more information I may be able to determine if this is the cause and provide some help to work around it safely.

I'm running on home laptop and I'm using just the standard windows firewall.
My friend has the same Internet provider, and he has no problems. So it's not the Internet problem.
I guess that I need to reinstall windows, if it helps I'll write here.

I am having this problem too. Every time I try to play the multi player portion of the demo, I can't connect to the ea servers. I get a message about the Mass Effect 3 server being unavailable at this time.
I have forwarded ports 3659 and 6000 through both my router and windows firewall, I also have uPnP enabled. I'm stuck for ideas here.

friend came with his laptop, tested, everithing went fine on his pc, so it's definitely not the internet problem.

So, I've reinstalled windows and it helped. Guess, some program or hell knows what blocked origin games connection to internet.

I'm having the same issue as...uh...the person above me (I would say your name but I can't read it :/). When my game is finished connecting to the EA servers, the top screen above the Alliance Network thing pops up, and my game crashes. I have also tried tricking it by going offline, then going online and trying to run multiplayer before it reacts, but it also crashes when that occurs, I hope you, Joe, or one of the other Bioware staff members can help us with our problem, or, if this is a bug, can fix it pronto.

Guys, i Think I have the solution, at least worked for me.
Go to C:\\Windows\\System32\\drivers\\etc
find the file "hosts" and delete the last 5 or 6 lines with ea.com in them. reopen origin and play.

If this works, you deserve a FREAKING MEDAL.
EDIT: What operating system are you on?
