I cannot speak for the ME3 demo since it works for me right as it is. However the following instructions worked fine with my Reckoning demo. Courtesy from Nelhtrak_Amgine who posted it on an other forum.

Basically, you need to find your Documents folder for whatever OS you're using for the user you're logged in as and the "My Games" folder inside that...there you should find a folder titled "Reckoning" with a "personal.ini" file inside it.

Open the file in Notepad and delete the line that says "blaze_email=" it will have your own email after the = for which you used for your EA account if you've logged in before...if not, remove it anyway...as the whole line needs to not be there for this to work.

Once you've removed that line save the file as it is...and from here you have two choices:

If you intend to replay the demo more than once on seperate days until the full game is released, you can right click that file and go into Properties and set it to "Read Only". That will prevent the game from saving your email in the file again and re-creating the unable to connect problem. You will however be required to re-enter your email and password every time you log into the game again.

The alternative is to not make it Read Only and simply play it as is, where it'll save that line into the file again and re-create the problem if you decide to go play the demo another day...but if you do choose this way, you can simply open the file again, remove the line and save the file.

It's up to you which you want to do, either way should allow you into the demo while logged into the account so you can get your unlocks.

Unfortunately, the ME3 demo doesn't have that kind of file in it. There is a "Game_Settings.ini" but it doesn't have what is described.

I did notice that there are a lot of .DMP files in the "BioWare\\Mass Effect 3 Demo\\BIOGame\\Logs" folder in my Documents folder. I wonder if those files contain any helpful information in determining the reason for the connection issues?

I am having this issue with the KoA Demo for the Promo Items in Mass Effect 3. My Mass Effect 3 demo connects as does my ME2 and my DA:O Ultimate but not the KoA Demo and nothing I can think of fixes it.

:crying::crying::crying:

Can some one PM a way to fix this?

WOOT the Above fix worked for me! Now I hope the fact I didnt spend all 45mins of the demo doesnt keep me from getting my Chakram launcher...

Ah, a shame. Anyway, it works fine with the "Reckoning" demo.
I wish good luck for all the other who are having trouble with the ME3 demo.

I have had connection issues with Mass Effect 3 (couldn't connect to servers). I tried everything ranging from firewall tweaking to port forwarding on ZyXel P-660HN-F1Z ADSL modem/router. Then, I said "let's try one more thing". Doubtful though, I switched my wireless mode from "b/g/n" to "b/g" mode and voila! everthing is working again.

I don't know what changes are applied to wireless N mode so it would make some games including Diablo III cannot connect but it is a serious fault, in my opinion, as far as gamers are considered.

Just wanted to give you guys a heads-up on the issue.

This is still is an issue for me. I have completed both the Mass Effect 3 and Kingdoms of Amalur demos but was never able to connect to the EA server with either so I haven't been able to get the unlockable items.

Well, it's obvious that the demos no longer connect and that this is a dead issue. Oh well...

Hi, i am pretty much in the same boat, have neer been able to get into the multplayer game as i always get the "EA servers are always unavailable" error. have tried opening certain inbound and outbound ports and even tried turning off my firewall totally, still the same. i have tried uninstalling and re-installing both ME3 and origin, still get the same error.
Would appreciate any advice on how to resolve this defect ?

does origin connect to the ineternet and log you in ?

have you made allow entries in your firewall to origin and me3 full access to the internet, what firewall are you useing?

theres a thing about firewalls with "problems"(which is most of them since ea cant code for sh:devil:) i still get the unavailable message everytime i start me3, but as soon as i click on multiplayer it all works fine, the biggest headache is the lockups ever since i got leviathan if i could uninstall just that dlc i probably would but unlike steam origin has no such options

I dunno if this still counts as demo-only, but I haven't been able to get onto the server for the past three days, and usually I can. It's driving me nuts.
