Right now you get +0.85 damage per point invested in Str/Cun. The fix changes that to the intended +0.425 points of damage per point in Dex or Str/Cun.

Enemy archers are indeed pretty devastating, especially at the level I'm at now (15), wouldn't want to see them with the unofficial fix...

Bioware really need to put into this patch a lot of works. When i place the mouse over Str and Dex, it says Str add 0.5 attack to melee attack, and dex add 1 attack to ranged attack, but my attack remains the same no matter what weapon i use, bow or sword. This is just the most stupid bug i have ever seen. How could bioware write false description about basic stats??? That's not to say other bugs: dex bug, duel striking bug (not sure, many people think it's bugged), rapid shoot+haste bug, death blow bug... well, too many. Technical bugs is acceptable for a new game, but too much gameplay bugs like this is unacceptable.

the hotfix you mentioned ruins whole game, as it destroys difficulty level- enemy archers become too powerful. a bioware dev said that they would fix it in official patch but with leaving the same gameplay
If you just want to fix the DEX bonus for daggers you can download this hotfix here instead:
social.bioware.com/project/428/#details
It only fixes Daggers and nothing else. No overpowered archer enemies, nothing!

It's turkey week here in the US. If Bioware is like any other company vacation mode started Monday morning at the coffee pot.
Except Bioware is based in Canada, and Canadian thanksgiving is some other week entirely.

But like Georg's fix it breaks Shale's crystals and grants Sten and Alistair -10% base fatigue,

We get that out of the way in October.
Otherwise it's too cold to chase the turkeys and the wild carnivorus penguins get them all.
